As far as I know, Alex Smith has yet to throw a td to a wideout ALL year! My question is, do we wind up as the first team to give up a wideout td to the Chiefs this year? It seems we've given up a lot of big plays this year and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we did. I hope we don't but this d gave up a big play to the Jets and Titans both and Smith is a better qb than Vick or Mettenberger. Just wanted to get people's opinion on this.

The win against the Chiefs will mean nothing if Alex Smith completes a TD pass to a wideout.

smith is more technically sound, but that doesn't tell the whole story.... vick and mettenberger are downfield throwers, while smith is more of a game manager... if you're a wr, you want vick and mettenberger throwing to you.... if you're a te or rb you want smith.... that's why the 49ers went with kap over him

I am so sure that they will, I have money on it. I think last I checked odds were 12-1. I couldn't believe it.

Unfortunately I've gotten used to the color guy on broadcasts saying stuff like, "this is the first time that X player has" done something this year, and it was against the Steelers. Happened way too much this year.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Running back Jamaal Charles and outside linebacker Tamba Hali will be key players for the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s crucial game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday both players were in relatively good shape with regard to their injuries.

Charles has soreness in his knee and a sprained ankle. Hali has been dealing with swelling in his knee for a large part of the season.

“Jamaal came in today and did his work," Reid said. “[Chiefs trainers] did some stuff with him after the game that he was able to take home with him to keep the swelling down in his knee and ankle, and he felt pretty good today."

Charles expressed frustration after Sunday’s 31-13 victory over the Oakland Raiders about his nagging injuries and his inability to stay healthy for much of the season.

Hali missed two days of practice last week but played against the Raiders. The Chiefs did pull him from the lineup more than normal.

“He had some swelling in his knee last week," Reid said. “It’s not in there right now, which is a plus."

I saw this last week and instantly thought that would end against the Steelers. The D is just bad, especially the CBs.

We know the defense isn't very good but this team has the talent on offense to outscore anyone when it is consistent.

I hope Charles does play. Kniles Davis scares me. He's a quick and shifty guy who gives this defense fits.

That would be good. I have won the last three weeks and have let it ride week to week. I'm letting it all ride on this weeks game, so it's a sizeable bet.

I say they either get shut out or Tuitt takes Alex Smith out on a clean and legal hit. We owe KC a QB injury.

Typically, they say it just before it happens. Like - "<insert player here> has not scored on ST all year!" and the returner proceeds to go untouched 108 yards. Oh wait, that's not a hypothetical...
