Completely different things. The Texans were on the goal line and about to score. They could have easily been trying to fake the spike to stop the clock. If Troy was a second earlier that would have been a brilliant play.

It was houston, on the goal line, where Troy jumped and kicked Fitzpatrick in the face.

He didn't kick him in the face.

Got to agree with Ryan, classless move on the Steelers part, almost as bad as a HC standing on the field during a kickoff return.

Ok, it was the head.... yes accidental, but it did happen.

I didn't even notice that before. Gets him in the back of the helmet a little bit.

I agree with you and Steel_Elvis. Really disappointed in him. Also don't like rex, he is classless.

Ben was furious. You don't see him going after someone like that too often. Seeing DeCastro just stand there was a little disheartening, though. I don't know if he realized fully what was happening.

Tomlin just denounced it and said that it was not professional. He said that Mitchell is an emotional guy and that he came up to Tomlin before the play, but Tomlin couldn't understand him and just sort of nodded, and he thinks Mitchell thought he got the OK to do that. He reviewed the play with the team and made sure they knew it wasn't how they do things. That's a paraphrase of course.

He made the move against victory formation, yes. When I saw it I just laughed and thought, "Troy-esque".

I think Decastro was just too relieved that he didn't blow up another teammates knees :lolol:

That was really close to being devastating

I re-watched it. 2nd and 10 with 1:14 on the clock and I think Steelers were out of time outs. Yeah, they weren't going to get the ball back because there's no way to stop the clock.

    It was an unnecessary attempt.

Give me guys that play until the final whistle. Guys that punch the clock with 2 minutes left will punch the clock with 30 minutes left or 8 games left on the schedule.

All I'm saying is that there was nothing that I can see that would have been gained from the attempt even if it was successful.

They should require teams to attempt to advance the ball or get a penalty. These are men getting paid millions to hit each other. They shouldn't be allowed to take a knee ever.

I agree with this, but I'd like to take it to the next level... the kneel down should not be allowed. Play.

No, the kneel down should be allowed...

But, honest to God, before Mitchell "Jumped the center",

I was yelling at the tv, for somebody to do what Troy does..

    At least he TRIED!

As Mitchell said in the post game, "Maybe they fumble...Maybe he drops the snap, I was hoping to startle them into a mistake"...

Really no different to me, than Troy, trying that one in a million chance...

At least he was playing for the whole 60 minutes...

    Never Say Die!!!:butcher:

What if Harrison just said, "OK, it`s the last play of the half", against Arizona in the Superbowl?!?

You do EVERYTHING you can, on EVERY play!!!:herewego:

    GO STEELERS!!!:steelflag:

    EXACTLY!
Whats more upsetting to me is that Tomlin doesn't defend his player. It was completely legal and Tomlin should look at it as so. All it takes is for Vick to take his eye off the ball for a split second and fumble the ball, scramble and defense recovery. Clock stops on turnover and the Steelers still have time on the clock to try and tie it up. Unnecessary is if they are down by two scores but by only a TD I guess MT wants call it quits instead.:bscow:

It was a punk move and never would be successful. There's a reason no one does it.
