Is this a joke? Lacy had to play against Seattle. There's a huge difference between Seattle and Cleveland. Not that I'm taking anything away from Bell, I'm a huge fan and he earned every yard he got, but don't think he wouldn't also struggle against Seattle. I'm just glad we don't play them this year, because I think they would smash us just like they smashed GB

When Bell is doing good you hear nothing from him.

We don't know that Bell would have struggled against Seattle.
When they give out the rushing title do they go by yards or strength of opponents?

Do they give out the rushing title after 1 week? Seriously, I like Bell more than Lacy, but I can't believe we're comparing 2 RB's after 1 week, especially after 1 guy just had to play against Seattle

You're missing the point Shaner, we're just having fun with a member who shan't be named.

And for the record, I'm not basing it on one game, Id take Bell over Lacy 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

It certainly ends any debate regarding Lacy vs. Bell... but apparently we should have drafted a DB and let some other team have Bell... at least it would vindicate 80% of the posters here....

Yeah, I guess I'm missing something. I think both are very good RB's, although Lacy has a bit of an injury history and he's a power back, not a good combination

I don't care about the Bell/Lacy debate, but I'm really glad we have Bell. His skill set it just so unique, and he is a perfect fit in our offense. Has great vision, great hands, and can run effectively inside and out. Games like these show exactly what he is capable of., and how good he can really be. I truly believe he will be a top 5 back in the nfl sometime in the near future. Go Bell!!!

And as for "he who shall not be named", I don't think we will hear from him anymore. Us "homer" fans weren't receptive enough of "the truth" :) he may have taken his talents elsewhere lol

Bell probably had an extra 100 yards of zig zagging through the defenders.
    Pretty neat stuff he did.

They both are good players, but Lacy has concussion problems so I'm glad the Steelers drafted Bell.

Bell was also High Times Player of the Week as well. I keeeeed! I keeeeeed! Seriously though it is a thing of absolute beauty to watch him run. It's like he sees the game in slow mo or something. I've not changed my mind on what I think the consequence should be for his off the field stupidity but I sure am gonna miss the crap out of him if he does get suspended.

Yeah at one point Dan Fouts said "that was really entertaining for a 4yd gain". He constantly moves forward too. I saw an article the other day that said Mendy is writing his own HBO show now or something. I bet between sentences he does a spin move. LOL.

I was thinking how fun it would be to stir the pot.

FYI I wasn't a fan of the Bell pick at the time, but he looked really good yesterday.

That's a very good way of putting it, I think. He works well with the line he's got as well. I'm not sure we won't see some ugly games from him this year, but when he's on, he's most definitely on.

Yeah and excuses used to get made for Mendy by saying he didn't have a line that he could run behind. We all just pretty much assumed it was the line's fault. But I don't think this line is, by any means, elite, and still Bell can put up over 100yds and SHOULD have had TWO td's if not for Beachum.

Some of those moves many guys here hate - you know the "dancing" and being patient waiting for the crease to appear. Some of that reminds me of the way Franco ran.

the browns have always had a good defense. lets not make it appear that seattle is the only good defense out there. bell was awesome and I hope can get better.

no, I don't think seattle smashes us. we have fire power on offense. this is going to be a process as the year goes on and we hopefully can get to full strength soon, so all these parts can grow as one. (Bryant, moore, archer) those are some pretty intricate parts that are missing. I think at full strength we can play with any defense, offensively. bell creates a lot more attention from a lot more defenders than lacy does.

GB also has fire power and they got smashed. Denver also has more fire power than perhaps any team in the history of the league, and they got humiliated. Maybe we wouldn't get smashed, any given sunday right, I'm just glad we don't play them this year, that's all.

GB doesn't have the firepower of the past. they lost a vet tackle early in this one too. there wr's though good are not as good as in prior years.

Denver has to get that short game going to set up the deep ball. seattle took that away from peyton and seattle is a very good pass rushing team. that played peyton right into their hands and took it out of his hands. seattle is built to stop the short game like we used to be built to stop the run. I also hope we don't have to play them, but I think we may have to at the end of the year if all goes as I hope it does.:smiley1::cool:

    Through 3 weeks ...

    Le'Veon Bell:

    461 total yards from scrimmage

    315 yards rushing

    146 yards receiving

    1 td

    vs

    Eddie Lacy:

    151 total yards from scrimmage

    113 yards rushing

    38 yards receiving

    0 tds

That ends the debate, right? :dancing:
