    I didn't realise David Johnson was someone who needed to be "signed"... always presumed he was a guy who just hung around the training field long enough to be confused for someone on the team.

    I always liked DJ...he wasnt a stud/superstar...but he got better over time and was a decent role player. I figured unless they drafted a TE...that he could be the 3rd/4th TE, but oh well. I wish him well though.

    He was often slow in his recognition, becoming another obstacle the runner had to get through. He did show a little talent when he got out in space, but for as long as they kept him around...meh.

    Exactly, you can't have nothing to show for 2 draft classes, 1 is damaging enough. Especially a team that primarily builds through the draft. I expect one more FA signing like Mitchell, maybe at LB.

    To be fair, that includes a couple of third round picks that are no longer on the team because of how good they turned out.

    Can't only hit on 2 picks out of 2 draft classes., 3 if you count Hood. That's a lot of whiffs for the rest.

    For sure. Not good drafts. I still like the Mendenhall and Sweed picks. I just don't like what happened after we picked them. Good moves, bad/not good enough outcomes. Davis and Hills were bad moves. Hood is sort of in the middle, Urbik was an okay pick that was again poorly handled. And of course Wallace and Lewis turned out great.

    They were subpar drafts, but I see a lot of post-draft mismanagement and bad luck mixed in. 2012's draft is turning out the same way (Spence, Ta'amu).
