    We should be worrying about is how much #7
    will want. I truly believe you have to
    hammer this out before anything else gets
    done. We will have to know what we will
    have left to pay everybody else going forward.
    And what is our back up plan, if it does not
    work out the way the Steelers hope?

    I do agree that working out an extension with Ben is a priority. However, extending him is going to clear cap room for 2014, not consume it. I would think extending him should lower his 2014 cap hit by 4 to 5 million.

    Ben needs to take a hometown discount and don't seek a Joe Flacco type of contract.
