    Ordinarily I would agree except for a couple of things:

    1) They already stuck by him, if they were going to give up on him, why not just cut ties when the incident occurred? They wasted no time with Rainey.

    2) We never got to find out what kind of player he was. I know he is starting for Arizona though, whether that is by default or because he was playing well, I'm not sure.

    Unless there was something going on behind the scenes, like not putting in the work or some such thing, seems like a bad move to me and a wasted pick. Throwing away picks is not something this team can afford to do.

    :this!::eek::lolol:

    From what I've read, he played pretty well for the Cards this year. Showed a lot of promise. I still don't understand the move and rank it right up there with keeping Redman over Dwyer.

    I think they were more impressed by Fangupo than they were by Ta'amu. Being injured in camp was probably the nail in the coffin for him.

    the steelers had said they were high on fangupo when he was in the draft too. they also said they had to unteach his habits of being a DT instead of a NT. they may have just liked fangupo as much as ta'amu, but without the baggage and injuries.

    mclendon did much better than people are saying on this board. woods also played pretty well for his first shot at a different position.:cool:

    I don't wish Ta'amu ill will. I just hope in 3-4 years, it is clear, that McClendon and or Fangupo out play him.

    we were spoiled and decimated when we lost casey and hoke all at once. expectations are high.

    maybe it was as simple as ta'amu making the same mistakes over and over in practice. who knows? I will expect some UDFA competition brought in.

    by the way any UK fans out there? how about the two big guys coming out from Kentucky that are well down the boards? any game to them?:cool:

    I agree about Casey. I miss him desperately but all good things must come to pass.
