    IMO he's going to be a play-making machine in a 3-4 system. I like him a lot..

Most mocks I have seen have Mack going in the top ten, I don't think he will be around at #15.

Yup, I agree. He and Barr will be long gone by the time #15 comes around. Teams are always looking for the next great pass rusher.

how about we take two early? mosley and then van noy if they are there. instant best LB corp in football. Timmons and mosley inside and van noy and JJ outside. dump Woodley and let worilds walk.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've watched Mosley and Not impressed, he'll be overdrafted just like JJ was. If we have Mosley and JJ outside we may never win another game.... ok that's extreme but no Mosley please.

Now if we could get K.Mack and resign Worilds....... Now that would be an awesome LBer corp.

I agree on Mosely. I think he'll be a fine ILB but not the impact player we want at #15..

However, I think JJ will have a BIG year this coming season.

I have to disagree fellows. Mosely and Timmons on the inside and we're set in the middle for years. Not someone I would pass on at #15, and it wouldn't surprise me if he went a few picks earlier.

As to Mack, he's got speed to spare and finds ways to get to the quarterback, but I have a hard time seeing him going so high. From the film I watched, he's fast, but he seemed to lack technique and strength when he couldn't rely on burst. That coupled with Buffalo's schedule makes me skeptical.

Would anyone else be completely shocked if the team went OLB in round 1?

I'm a little confused you said you watched Mosely play and you're not impressed, even though he is going up against some of the best talent in all of college football. Meanwhile you have seen enough of Mack against sub-par competition to come to a conclusion that he is the real deal. If past history tells us anything ,we drafted JJ whose college tape showed one of the more dominant players in recent history and from what we've seen has a long way to go to be a force at this level...we'll see because Tomlin likes to go with guys that "put it on tape".

TTF I could see us going OLB possibly too but who at 15? Maybe if Barr falls by chance... I don't know. Unless we can trade way back and go with Dee Ford but not at 15. I've seen some mocks that had us taking Kony Ealy with the hopes of converting him to OLB. I don't really know enough about him to make an assessment on that idea.
when I thought there was a chance that Mosely might come out last year I didn't think there was a chance to get him and I thought he would be a great fit for us. I haven't seen anything from last year to this one to make me change my mind, the only difference is this year we may have a legitimate shot.

I kinda agree about Mosley, I'm not super impressed.

I do believe being on a great team can make you look better than you are. Mosley would need to really stand out on tape to me and he doesn't seem to. At 15 and for an ILB I'm looking for something like Ray Lewis/Patrick Willis/Derrick Johnson.

Yeah that is saying a lot, but at 15 I think that is the only type ILB that would warrant the 15th overall pick.

guys I can tell you that mosley will be a stud. I watch bama every week. have seen them in person a lot and he jumps out when you see them live and in person. he is fast. bottom line and saban who knows a thing or two about defense said he was one of the smartest backers he has ever coached. they ask him to do a lot in a 3-4. he would be an instant starter

His smarts and instincts may be the key that makes him special. If I'm not mistaken a recall hearing that V.Williams was calling all the plays and checks on defense. I'm not sure why Timmons wouldn't take over that role with Williams being a rookie and all. This could be one of the reasons why we struggled on D. If everything they say about CJ and how smart he is ,he could take over day one. The ILB position may be a reach in any draft at 15 but like TTF said we could be set for a while . Maybe we can scratch one need off the list for some years to come.

All Mack does is make plays. Every game he is the best player on the field. I'd have no problem with him at #15..

As for Mosely, meh... I've heard all this stuff before out of Saban. No thanks at #15.. I'll take Van Noy a little later though. I think he'd be dynamic on the inside in our "D". He can play a little ROLB in our scheme too..

To be honest with you Mac, it's quite conceivable
if they do what your proposing. Still what do we do @CB,safety?

I wouldn't mind getting another olb as long as its an olb. jones played there in college so that was good. no more de converting to outside lb for me. I want more speed

there will still be good corners and safeties left. we should have a comp pick in the 3rd or 4th and should at least get one more in the 6th or 7th. I like huff and Sorensen. huff can play corner too. Sorensen is listed as a 7th rounder in most places, but he's a good safety and may work well with Thomas as a duo. we could also still grab a big wr like brandon coleman in the 4th.

I think Mosley is a great player and I would definitely be considering him @ #15. I agree with TTF, you pair him with Timmons and we are set for a long time.

As for Mack, I think he is very disruptive and would make a great OLB in our system. I know many currently have him ranked in the Top 10 or Top 12 (I know I do), but I don't think its out of the question that he is still kicking around at #15. Remember, this time last year, Jarvis Jones was being bounced around as a Top 5-10 type pick. If Mack runs slower than expected at the combine (which is quite conceivable) he very well could fall to #15. The fact he played at Buffalo will hurt him in the eyes of some teams. There's no denying that. I personally don't believe that Mack is the elite athlete that Anthony Barr is.

Just remember that Demarcus Ware should have been a Top 5 pick but he fell to #11 for no other reason that he played at Troy. Don't be shocked if Mack falls too.

Because he plays in the MAC. Same reason why Big Ben fell so far in 2004. It is seen as lesser competition. Now there are clearly ways to dispel this myth that they don't face elite competition. For instance, Eric Fisher went #1 overall last year after he dominated the Senior Bowl and tested very well at the Combine.

Still, some teams will view Mack as putting up gaudy numbers against weak competition. That coupled with the fact that I don't expect him to put up elite numbers at the Combine may cause him to fall on some teams boards.

THIS!!!!!!!! You also forgot to add in Luke K. in Carolina.

Watch CJ vs Auburn....... He made some plays but he missed some and was slow on many others, his motor just isn't impressive to me at #15. He'll be a good ILB, no doubt, but I want dominating, I want Willis, not Foote.

Antonio brown, james Harrison, jack lambert, Charlie batch come to mind too. the MAC puts some good players in the NFL. all the money isn't there so the experts don't troll there as much and miss so many. or they go guh guh over one or two that had a good season. smart teams do their homework beyond the draft boards. draft board experts want to go to Alabama and see 6-8 prospects instead of 2-3 per team in the MAC.

I would be shocked if they went OLB in round 1 because he will be sitting the bench behind JJ or Worilds or Woodley whichever one they keep. I read on some site they said Mosley is overrated not interested in him at #15 where was Mosley when Alabama played Auburn and Oklahoma their defense struggled in both games.

My only advice would be to go search out some game footage and watch him. Look through his stats. Look at the talent he's faced, etc, as opposed to going by what some site said.
