Compensatory picks

    This is how it works from what I read, there are several criteria for getting a decent compensatory pick such as third and fourth round. They are did the player receive a large contract (Wallace), was a player a former first round pick (Mendenhall) or was the player a starter (Lewis). So the Steelers are expecting a third and probably two fourth round picks. That would be awesome if it happened. The picks will be announced in March.

    I wonder if any of the comp picks will be withheld from the Tomlin incident?

    I disagree with Jerry there. I've never seen 'first round pick' listed as a qualifier. I'll go out on a limb here. I never do this, but I'll guarantee there's no way we get a 3rd, and two 4ths.

    I don't think so. I would be surprised if the team received any further punishment via the draft. Stranger things have happened though.

    There;s no way in hell we get a 3rd and two fourths because we will be getting 2 3rds and 1 4th.
