Listening to a live broadcast on line right now. There are actually a couple of reporters who are endorsing it. They keep saying 1-10 over the last 11 is inexcusable regardless of the players.

Hmmmm, they traded their best player and gave Chud a 30 year old second year QB who was a major 1st round reach.

LOL, makes you appreciate the Steelers that much more.

Browns need a QB. They actually played pretty decent with Hoyer. Until he got injured.

Whiz will be making a return to the AFC North. Mark it. I think he's gonna be really in demand. ORRRRR Shanahan???? Hmmmmm....... I'm actually intrigued.

Josh McDaniels will probably be their next HC. It all makes sense with Hoyer there. Lombardi loves Hoyer. It is quite pathetic though.

It sounds like the Browns players aren't too happy about it either. You can't win with change like that, of the last 4 coaches fired in the AFC North all of them have been Browns coaches. And Steelers fans complain about Tomlin I will take stability any day.

I'm probably more like Carnac The Magnificent.

The Browns have ruined multiple QBs over the last decade. They can't seem to stop making that position a revolving door, along with the head coaching position. They'll never "grow" a team into maturity by constantly replacing two of the most important roles without ever giving either position a chance to mature.

For comparison, here is a list of Browns starting QBs and head coaches since 2000 vs. a list of Steelers starting QBs and head coaches in the same time period (actually you could extend Pitts exact same list back to 1997, and longer for HC):

    Browns QBs since 2000:
    Tim Couch
    Doug Pederson
    Kelly Holcomb
    Jeff Garcia
    Trent Dilfer
    Charlie Frye
    Derek Anderson
    Brady Quinn
    Colt McCoy
    Brandon Weeden
    Jason Campbell

Steelers QBs since 2000 (actually since 1997):
    Kordell Stewart
    Tommy Maddox
    Ben Roethlisberger

    Browns HC's since 2000:
    Butch Davis
    Terry Robiskie
    Remeo Crennel
    Eric Mangini
    Pat Shurmur
    Rob Chudzinski
    Next????

Steelers HCs since 2000 (actually since 1992):
    Bill Cowher
    Mike Tomlin

That rvolving door at coach is very similar to the Chargers. Figures that they would think about bringing Norv in as HC. The bright side for them is that Norv only kills GOOD teams!

You know. I must say that he is :roflmao:all the way to the bank.

In firing him the Cle Brownies will still be paying him $10,500,000. That is one expensive $witch-a-Roo.

While I could care less what the Brownies do. ONE YEAR? I mean really...why even hire him to begin with? He inherits a crap roster (minus a couple guys) and they do not give him time to mold a team/etc. But hey I'd sit at home or where ever and count my 10.5 mil for doing nothing.

Sounds like being the Browns' coach is like winning the lottery! Where do I send a resume?

LOL. I'd say you're right. I bet that Pilot stock took a hit too because they got busted committing fraud and if his brother weren't the Governor of this state he would be in some serious crap. Their corporate office is in Knoxville and they got raided by the FBI pretty hardcore.
