Kelvin Benjamin 6'5 235 lbs receiver from Florida State he's a poor man's Calvin Johnson. He goes up and gets the football the Steelers offense would be deadly with him and Antonio Brown, he had 14 tds this season.http://youtu.be/BTkyr7Qv8mc

I'm in! Impressive! The thing I like is he's not just a big guy, he's a big guy with skill. He knows how to go up and get the football at its highest point which is 2 feet higher than the average NFL CB is getting to. He adjusts very well to the ball and runs well after the catch. Looking forward to the draft!

Well I do like his play, and he has been dominant at the college level. But will it transition to the pros where EVERY CB/safety are able to play at a high level.
As always the million dollar question.TRANSITION!

I like Moye, but he isn't the answer to our receiving issues, at least not IMO. It isn't just height, it has to do with physicality as well. We need a big tall physical receiver, not just a tall receiver.

I like Benjamin. He will likely be taken in the second round, so in order for us to draft one this high, I think it would be under the circumstance that both Sanders and Cotch walk. Maybe we are able to keep Cotch and still want to draft a WR this high? AB, Benjamin, Wheaton, Cotch, Moye/J.Brown would be good. We have so many needs on the defensive side, I'd hate to make more than 1 offensive pick in the first three rounds.

If we're going WR in Round 1, which I am not completely opposed to, I will really be watching Mike Evans in the bowlgame and subsequent workouts. I think that guy is the type of big body receiver we have been craving.

Yes. Mike Evans carried A&M (sorry, Manziel), while Benjamin had the best QB in college football throwing to him in a weaker conference. Benjamin is a fine player, but Evans can be something special.

I sure liked the way moye caught the fade with his hgt., but the one he caught with two guys hanging on him and held on hitting the ground that hard really impressed me about his stregnth. that showed me he's physical enough and I know justin brown is physical enough, not to mention a great blocker downfield.

I'd rather see us grab not only one but two TE's instead. now I do like moncrief as a big wr from miss. and the kid from BYU is as good as there is in the draft, but two big blocking and catching TE's will help heath be a more go to guy in the red zone. we saw a little of what he was capable of last year.

if it wasn't so hard to find good TE's like we suffered through this season, I would say take one, but there are some good one's this year, so load up for the next 10 years. they won't go to waste.

mosely would be hard to pass on , because he fits either LB spot we could use. inside or outside. same as van noy or shazier. they are all very talented and play makers.

there are two guys that I think fit the steelers mold at TE. fiedorowicz and bolser. they are my top two. one could be there early and bolser could be had in the middle late or late rounds. he's sort of under the radar being at Indiana. both are very solid in all aspects of the position.

I still think they will stick to they're offense /defense way of picking and it's the offenses turn first. I'm still liking david yankey. he's a very good lineman, that has a lot of position flexibility. he can also play those positions at a very high level. plus he's got brains.

Me too! Glad to see you like him as well. I heard he isn't as physical as his size would dictate; not sure about that.

I know you didn't specifically ask me, Freak, but I wouldn't touch Lyerla. His fall from grace has been very harsh, and some serious stuff. Not like he's just a weed smoker every now and then. I would consider Jenkins.

Me too. I really believe they purposefully stick to the alternating offense/defense selection for round 1. And I'm all-in on Yankey.

I agree about lyerla. Jenkins I don't know much about. Jensen from fres.st. has absolutely huge hands, which usually translates well. not to mention good size and catches a lot of balls for that passing system. I'm still all about fiedorowicz and bolser. they both really seem like steeler type TE's. heath type's.

I don't agree moncrief isn't that physical. all the miss. receivers are a little under the radar since it took their new qb about half a season to figure it out this year. moncrief is smart also.

I've seen the WR from penn st. only a couple of times but he looks pretty physical.

we do have a physical guy here in Justin brown. a lot around here want a new big guy, but I still like the two we have and think if they see them really implemented into the offense they will see these guys are plenty physical.

I'm not a big fan of the throw it up for grabs passing style though, like flacco and eli do.

I really like Moyes potential. I just don't think we will give him a fair shake. I think we give up on guys to early sometimes. Yeah he had a drop so what. Who remembers him running that DB down after a Int.? Things like that can't be taught it was a great display of heart and lord knows we could use a few guys like that. I think he just needs real game experience. It's a little unfortunate were chasing a dream right now cause I think it would be good to see him get some playing time. Depending on how the draft goes we may never even see him again.

someone else will use him, if we don't. I like the receivers next year if they get them in the mix. with sanders leaving (I think anyway) we need to re-sign cotch, replace sanders with wheaton and play brown and moye. that seems like a good bunch of receivers, with a mix of talent. the year learning for wheaton,j.brown and moye will come in very handy. I feel much better about our receiving corp under it's new coach. I think this has made a huge difference. AB is also plenty vet, to help these guys along with cotchery.

Pretty sure you mean Wheaton, unless Moye did it too. But yeah, I definitely like Moye, hope they give him more opportunities.

Yeah I don't remember Exactly when ,but it was definitely Moye, but it was either early in the year or pre season. Can anybody help me out?

nevermind i googled it and it was in the pre season after a L.Jones pick. It still showed great hustle, desire and speed.

Yeah, the Panthers game. He chased the guy all the way down the field to stop him from scoring. Awesome hustle.

Moye is not the answer he's not the imposing physical type he has the height, it doesn't seem like the team thinks so either given his lack of playing time. I like Benjamin over Mike Evans because I think he has more speed to get down field.

So far I've only watched Evans and Benjamin as a fan - meaning I've watched the games without focusing on those guys from a scouting perspective. However, I really really like Evans, and I think he could mesh well with Ben. One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is that Evans plays with a QB who ad-libs all the time. Even though Manziel is small and elusive, he extends plays the same way that Ben likes to (just using quickness instead of power). Evans is used to having to play sandlot football and find open spots for his QB after the play breaks down, and he's pretty good at it. I think he would be a great downfield and red zone weapon when Ben is being Ben.

From what I've been reading the Steelers are pretty high on Moye and Brown so it would surprise me if they went wr in the first.

I would be very suprised with a high WR pick,
but who knows, stranger things have happened
    before.

I believe this is Ben's 10th season. Over those 10 seasons, we have never got Ben a competent big bodies WR. He and Plax had great chemistry, allbeit, short lived. I think Sanders will be gone in the off season. I don't know if Wheaton is anything more than a #3 at the moment. Moye is still an unknown. Sure, he's tall, but he's not physically imposing.

Between Sammy Watkins (Clemson), Marqise Lee (USC) and Mike Evans (Texas A&M) I think there is a star there. I just really like Evans. Coming out of the SEC, going up against great defences. Auburn is in the national title game and Evans caught 11 balls for 287 yards and 4 TDs. I mean, if you have the chance to draft a Brandon Marshall type of player, how can we pass that up?
