Baltimore's conference record is currently 6-4, ours is 4-5.... curious how we win that tie breaker since we split the season?

if we win out means we beat cincy and clowns and miami ,they have to lose one between new england and cincy , then we are tie and comes the common opponents

btw not that i believe will happen but on paper ....

Right now the rumor flying around pack land is if Rogers isn't cleared to play this week and GB loses they are going to sit him the rest of the year. In addition they might rest him the rest of the year if they do lose this weekend with him at QB. Personally I am cheering for whomever they are playing this weekend to knock them out of the playoff hunt so we can face Flynn or Tozien instead of Rogers...

if pittsburgh goes 4-0, Baltimore can lose 1 game to any four teams not just New England and Cincinnati. Say pittsburgh wins next week and Vikings upset Baltimore, the ravens would be the sixth seed however if pittsburgh and Baltimore both end the season at 3-0 pittsburgh would shift ahead of Baltimore in the standings for sixth seed. Baltimore would be out if they lose 1 and pittsburgh wins 4 regardless of what game ravens lose...

So I looked at the schedule and realized I was wrong. Thought we played GB before Bengals. Guess we'll just have to whip Cincy first.

I'm not so sure about that, if the Rats lose to Cincy, they will have 3 divisional losses and Steelers only 2.

Put it this way pittsburgh clinches wild card with 4 wins:
1 Tennessee loss to (any team) and 1 Baltimore loss to (any team)

    very simple but true!!

yes i did the espn playoff machine and put baltimore 3 wins + loss vs minnesota (so not an afc team ) and steelers 4 wins and we are in

If the Steelers and Balt tie at 9-7, the Steelers will be 4-2 in div and 9-5 in common opponents with Balt. The Ravens will be 3-3 in Div if their loss is to Cincy, and they lose the tiebreaker. if their loss is to someone else they will be 4-2 in div, but only 8-6 in common opps. The Steelers win any 9-7 tie with Balt, And they have to finish ahead of Balt to make the playoffs, (barring a complete KC collapse)

However, the Steelers don't necessarily win any 8-8 tie with Balt. A Pgh loss to Cincy or Cle gives the 8-8 tie to Balt if they beat Cincy.

A Pgh loss to Miami doesn't hurt Pgh much vs Balt, but pretty much assuress that Miami would win any tie with Pgh.

actually quite the opposite...we have the tiebreaker advantage in a lot of different scenarios...too many to go through right now
