Sanders and Ike. It's time to part ways with these guys. Special teams crapped the bed.

I'm certain he'll be fined for it. Wasn't a good thing to do, wouldn't be surprised if he were suspended for it.

Yep and then to make it even worse I have to listen to WDVE and people call in and don't seem to realize that time is very precious on the radio and they ask questions like "how are you guys" and then just sit there awkwardly. Man that's really annoying. Just ask your dang question and listen to them never say anything negative about some of the morons we have on this team and just hang up. Is that so hard people?! LOL.

I read somewhere Cowher did that also once against the Jaguars.

Yeah Sanders is not even CLOSE to being worthy of wearing that number.

I was in shock when he did that. I still can't believe he did it. I doubt he'll be reprimanded for it, though.

Yeah I was thinking about it when that play happened. He didn't actually go through with it though.

Yeah because they can't necessarily PROVE intent although it looked pretty dang blatant to me.

I was watching that game. He actually started to get himself ready to tackle the guy but held himself back. Never came onto the field though, if I remember correctly.

    My biggest complaint is this:

I realize we fought back and showed a lot of heart in the second half, but once again...we...came...out...FLAT, UNINSPIRED AND UNPREPARED and dug ourselves a freaking hole that we had to spend the whole freaking game trying to dig ourselves out of!!!!!! When you fall behind by double digits early you're pretty much taken out of your game plan and it's harder to get into a flow. You almost go into panic mode trying to scratch and claw your way back in it. That has been the rule and not the exception the last couple of seasons!

I was thinking he actually stuck his foot out to trip and then pulled it back real quick.

Cowher made like he was going to hit the guy while he ran past but pulled back and the player never even reacted to him. In this case in can be argued that Jones moved back into the field of play because of Tomlin but I don't think he did, I think he was trying to turn it back inside and get past Allen.

Correct. It was almost a Ralph Cramden "Why I oughta..." movement.

(I was at that game. Jacksonville fans were subdued the entire game. Then that play happens and they act like they won the Superbowl, and the past 4 before that.)

This is my major complaint. There were execution errors for sure, but this strategy that you had days to plan for seemed ridiculous. Started the game out on a real down note. Notice how the rats came out - firing.

You're killing me Sanders. You're killing me.

If it isn't his drops, him and Ben are usually not on the same page for a quick slant or hot read. It is killing the efficiency of this offense.

I would almost rather have Cotchery the starter.

I would also never throw to Sanders in that 2-point situation, would be motioning A.B. or Heath like crazy until I got the match up I liked.

Also on the road you have to REALLY bring the pain often and early. Tomlin's teams have never been great on the road. Didn't we only win 2 road games his first year?

Thought that was against the Oilers/titans?

Ben said the reason he threw at Sanders on that one is because they had a new corner out there after the helmet to helmet and he thought that was a favorable matchup. But I think sanders is just too unreliable for you to go at him.

Tomlin explained the play after the game: "I always watch the returns on the Jumbotron; it provides me with a better perspective. Obviously, I lost my placement as he broke free, and saw at the last second how close I was to the field of play."

A lot of people aren't buying his explanation though.

This right here and right here only. For all you blaming Sanders, that's a poor excuse. Poor playcalling to start along with poor defensive schemes the entire game are to blame. When you're blitzing your db's in the fourth quarter, down by two scores there's something seriously wrong with that. You do that crap in the first half of the game, not when you're trailing.

Also let's not forget the play where Troy guessed wrong on the blitz and left Rice WIDE open. Also we played with the cushion and allowed a big first down on their first drive that kept it going and they wound up scoring. That crap HAS to stop! NOW! Good grief PLEASE!

The rice play was the killer I feel.
