    Between Mike Wallace and Brown.

Wallace had 4 catches for 15 yards on MNF.

I'm thinkiing we made the right move!!

I absolutely agree Troy, but lets not forget he had Revis covering him all night too. I'm curious to see how many passes went in his direction.

I read that he was targeted 7 times last night, had 4 catches for 15 yards.
On the season he has been targeted an amazing 79 times.

    Completely agree.
I have seen Wallace play a couple of games now with Miami and he is such an easy read as to whether he is going to be involved in the play or not right when he lines up at the LOS. I could tell with nearly 100% accuracy whether he was going to be targeted last night. If I can see it, surely Darrell Revis could also. Add to that his pathetic route running and horrific blocking skills and I am so glad the Steelers let him go.

He is averaging a whopping 4.4 catches, 55 yards and .11 TDs per game. Has Revis covered him all season?

He is still on my fantasy team because there is a part of me that truly believes at some point he might turn around, but I am giving up on him. So much for, but he can throw it farther than Ben.

I especially took notice at the wimpy effort to try to at least try to defend the interception by Revis at the end of the game. He just gave up.

He doesn't fight for balls that he should catch so that doesn't suprise me one bit.

Come on Scott, I started my post by agreeing with Troy. The Steelers absolutely made the right choice. I was just making a point about last night's opponent, not to season-long stats. I know he hasn't gone up against Revis every week. Average DBs make this guy look bad. We're on the same side of this one.

Wallace is a baby. AB is much better.

    Two words: Ryan Tannehill

Sorry, Tannehill will never be included in any "franchise QB" discussions, so I don't think anyone can compare apples to apples.

Did they make the right choice? I think so, but you're basing this on one game on MNF. His average reception is virtually the same as AB for the season (12.4 MW vs 12.0 AB), but his # of receptions is not.... for various reasons including stone hands and Ryan Tannehill.

Was this ever in question? The money alone made it the right choice. I know Jack is happy :dancing:

I thought it was very telling when Gruden who likes everybody starts talking about how Wallace was labeled a one trick pony, and how he ran sloppy routes, falling away from the catch instead of towards it. Saying he needs to fight for the catch inside.

Tannehil didn't have any problems hooking up with Mathews or Hartline last night. In Wallace's defense, he did have a very bad pass which carried Wallace out of bounds but the effort on Wallace's part was beyond bad. There are several big time players that would put forth much more effort and maybe 3 or 4 might catch that pass. It should have been a TD if thrown right but then again we have all seen Mike drop those as well.

I watch Mike last night very closely cause he is on (but soon to be off) my FF team. His routes are horrid and his blocking is even worse.

This is was a no brainer, when the Steelers signed AB, Mike Wallace knew that the Steelers
were never going to give him the money HE wanted. You have heard the old saying, there is a sucker born everyday. But mgmt also must ask themselves did we over pay Woodley, Timmons,Ben, Troy, Ike, Heath? These ball players are why we are in the cap situation we are in today. Are we getting the bang for the buck that we are paying/ have paid these guys? I would like to revisit
the circumstances involved in all of these decisions to see if we
could have not done it cheaper.

Give Wallace another QB and you will see a diffrent type of Wallace.
