Funny, I just looked him up yesterday. I was curious if he landed anywhere. So, who's spot does he take? Maybe one of the 17 tight ends?

he'll bring some speed. that's a shame he was hurt all through camp. I do think he could be a good backup corner and a good gunner on punts.

It's Isaiah Green. He keeps his bags packed.

Where is Josh Victorian? He looked pretty good at times last year.

It sounds like they brought him back to play FS. With that speed I think he could make a great coverage FS ala ed reed.

Some of these moves are a waste of time. These guy mostly have zero chance of making any kind of positive impact on game day.

I think he played well when first brought here and is part of their plans but was hurt in camp. he was pretty high on the steelers draft board the year he was taken by oakland.

I wasn't saying he would be as good as reed I meant more of a coverage safety like reed and not a run stopping safety like clark

Thanks for clarifying. We need some speed back there. Did you see the way Dobson pulled away from Clark on Sunday? It was sad to watch. Where did you hear that they were looking at Vandyke as a FS?

http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.co...gn-demarcus-van-dyke-curtis-brown-depth-chart the second paragraph says he has often been listed as a CB but has gotten work at FS with the Steelers.

This year has been the most I've seen the steelers make roster moves in a very long time.

we were short a CB with the cutting of our draft pick, the injury to the FA from penn st. that never saw the field and Vandyke getting hurt. throw in Curtis brown MIA now and this is part of the reason green was even here.

they thought they could rely on golden and shamarko to act as CB/S tweeners.

van dyke had been getting some game time towards the end of last year, before getting hurt and after being benched earlier in the year for ST's screw ups. these were two different injuries.

if the hammys are healthy, the kid can play. I watched him at Miami and he did well. he's just got to stay healthy. he's a legit speed guy too. he should be healthy by now. i'm not sure he's big enough for FS though. he's not a pro bowler but he's got worth to this secondary and can get down field in a hurry as a gunner.

Can he catch? Put him in there on punts instead of Brown. This team is in even worse trouble if Brown gets injured.

I would have assumed not. A guy with that kind of speed was most likely made a DB due to his lack of catching ability.
