Will Allen Working Out With Steelers

we are trying to get back to 8-8. the standard. LOL

 

Didn't Colbert say something to the effect of "we have to change the roster because it was a 8-8 roster." I don't remember his exact words but we are bringing back the same people from an 8-8 ball club.

 

To be 8-8 you have to win half of your games. Our current roster apparently isn't good enough to do that.

 

and right now we would need to win the 75% of the game remaining ...

Is the fact that we re-sign every player we cut an indication that our scouting department is just lazy?

 

I'm thinking we lead NFL in re-signings past players. Doesn't bode well for the scouting departing, especially when you look at our drafts in the last 5 years.

Man, what is with the retreads. Signing Allen back, cutting Wilson and re-signing Sylvester. Wreaks of desperation and not having a clue during the summer...

 

This is how I feel. Just bring back the players that already know the system so no one has to take the time and make the effort to teach someone new. Of course, there is a reason why they got cut in the first place- not only by the Steelers but by a second team as well...so let's bring them back?

The Sylvester and Allen signings coupled with the Wilson and DCS cuts imply nothing about scouting or about the bad decisions of the GM. These guys were brought back because the guys they are replacing are hurt. The team needs them healthy and they aren't. These 2 already know our system which could be huge if the current starter at the position gets hurt.
