Does it make anyone understand Goodell's predicament a little better?

 

It should, but it won't stop the usual suspects from complaining that he's ruining the game.

 

Did is you catch the part when his son said mike was using super glue to put his teeth back in?

Yeah, I've never understood the vitriol for Goodell. He's in a tough spot, walking a fine line between trying to protect players from traumatic brain injuries and trying to protect the integrity of the game.

 

Goodell getting grilled by Congress. No dang wonder we're moving toward flag football. The people that are overly critical of Goodell need to watch this.

 

I dont think hunk most people understand that if he doesn't make the game safer than football will cease to exist.

 

I don't either but I DO have other feelings for him. LOL. In all seriousness though, I do wish I could watch this special. You think I will be able to find it online or will you be able to post it or anything?

Wow. Just finished watching the whole thing. Glad I quit playing when i did. The Jr Seau part really shook me. I lived right behind him and was his neighbor for years up until he killed himself. I filmed his mom give her speech from right behind the media cameras. I never asked him for his autograph because he wasn't a Steeler but he seemed like a really nice guy. I have some film of him a couple weeks before his death of playing his ukulele and singing in a foreign language in a bar with 4 other people in it and me. It was beautiful music to drink beer at the beach too.

 

A pic i took the morning Jr shot himself. You can see the family hugging in front of the coroner's van. It was very sad.
