Simple yes or no will be fine, are they getting the potential out of these players? Have you seen improvement from your favorite player/position.
Do you feel the Steelers are getting the production they need from there big money people.Woodley,Timmons, Ben, Troy, Ike,AB, Kiesel. How about our most recent HIGH draftchoicesHood,Gilbert,Worilds, Adams, Heyward? Do you feel that the coaches are putting them in a position to succeed? Do you feel they should be doing better or are these players are just what they are and any amount of coaching won't help.? If you notice I did not mention any first year players, these players mentioned should be up and running full tilt. I think the coaches can do a better job motivating these players and coaching them up. What are your thoughts?

No. Our oline has been in shambles for a few years and I don't see any of them improving. Even Pouncey started to regress.

Do you really think anyone on the planet would say that they're doing a good job?

I think they're not completely to blame, but good job? No.

This. Can anyone really say the coaches of a winless team are doing a good job?

0-4, no major changes, all talk from Tomlin.

I'm going to have to go with a no.

Our defense is getting shredded by scrubs. Our corners are playing 5 yards off their assignments. We have zero turnovers. We have high draft picks not producing at a high level. Our linemen spend more time on their backs than they do on their feet. Our offense seems to have more 3 and outs than they do touchdowns. We are bottom feeders in a division with the clowns and bungles. We've lost the vast majority of our games going back to midway through last season. But with all that being said, yeah, I think they are doing an outstanding job.

As a coach myself I would emphatically state NO. They are not developing talent putting players in their best position to succeed and on top of it all there does not seem to be a chemistry with the team. It was noticable last year and it continues this year. This ship has a huge hole in the stern and it is sinking faster than the titanic in my opinion...

I do hope I am wrong.

NO- And to be specific I think Tomlin is an Egghead for taking the team to Europe the day before the game where they did not have a chance to get acclimated to the time changes. I don't know who's ultimate decision that was whether it be the head coach or the Rooney's but Mike should have had a huge say in that travel schedule. Our team was trying to catch cat naps on the locker room floor after traveling by Plane, Train and then Bus. The Vikings meanwhile were wide awake and taking in the sites during their non practice, non media times. The Steelers should have been there on Wednesday or Thursday at the very latest.
P.S. I didn't think it would be a big deal until I saw the TV special and our guys looked lethargic. How in the world is Adams supposed to block an all Pro Jared Allen under those conditions? Not really sticking up for Adams for his terrible blocking but if he should make C'mon man for that play then Tomlin should for the travel schedule!

And again... the Pats did the same thing the other year and won the game convincingly.

For info, plane train and bus was probably the quickest way - the route from Heathrow to where the Steelers stay is not one long, open highway where buses can travel at 100 mph. Train is much quicker out of Heathrow. But unlikely the train was going to take them right up to the door of their training facilities.

I refuse to believe it was the travel schedule that led to the Steelers being denied overtime by one play. They seemed pretty awake for the last quarter of the match.

To the thread - is anyone really going to say yes? Nobody's doing their job to the level it takes to win at the moment, from the cleaning lady up to the FO. We need to fix the small things first, though - basic execution, basic tackling and so on.

Tomlin didn't take the team to London on Saturday. They got there at 3am on Friday.

This team has performed the same way in all 4 games. Why is travel to blame for their performance against the Vikes?

It's not, it's just another excuse to dump on Tomlin.

Exactly. He clearly deserves some of the blame for this team's performance but there is no need to just invent stuff to pile on.

No. I've been a Tomlin supporter up until this season, and I still think that people who haven't given him his due for the success that the team had a few years ago are extremely unfair to him. However, it's clear that his coaching style is not getting it done with this particular crop of players and assistant coaches. I see a very obvious leadership void, and I would be really surprised if things come together enough for us to have realistic hope for a playoff run at some point this season. This team's fall from grace is downright stunning, especially on the defensive side of the ball the past two weeks against QBs whose careers have been marred by inconsistency and turnovers. The offense was atrocious the first two weeks, but Ben turned things around enough (under extreme duress) to score a number of points that should have been sufficient for our defense full of top notch personnel to secure victories against the Bears and Vike. However, the defense melted down early and often against mediocre, turnover prone QBs and flat out lost the past two games for us.

The coaching has been abysmal. 0-4 sums it up.

It's not an excuse it's my opinion. And yes there are plenty of reasons for the past 2 years. This team is in the worst shape fundamentally than I have seen in my life time. I'm not about to give MT a pass on that.

Having a little experience in having a coach that could not evaluate talent- our hs quarterback went on to win several college championships with Jim Tressle at ysu. In hs our idiot coach couldnt win squat with a loaded roster. Meanwhile the jv squad is undefeated and pitching shoutouts and dominating the varsity in scrimmages. The JV squad killed the varsity in every scrimmage...

There seems to be a problem evaluating NFL starters before the start of the season year after year. Bringing back Starks and Dwyer and how do you not see Adams as anything but a liability before we go 0-4. It's all above my pay grade but I got my popcorn out.

At 0-4, NO one is doing a good job. We seem to be extremely ill prepared and unmotivated.
