That is great news. Maybe a few carries in London, then two weeks to rest and figure out how to incorporate him into the offense.

Would be a good season if we can have a winning record after the bye.

I think he'll play and start completely. It sounded last week like he looked good, so a week and a half of full practices? He's ready to go.

Maybe I'm a little too optimistic but I see him having a big game. Minnesota's been gashed in the run game (ranked 21st). We have our blocker back in Heath, as well as Will Johnson. Our run game got going a little bit against Chicago...

And it hasn't been talked about much, but for all the talk about zone blocking in preseason, they haven't run the outside zone plays AT ALL. I believe the play Pouncey went down on was the only one. I think they've been saving it for Bell's return.

    I saw that too :herewego:

I think he will be worked in slowly though, not as slowly as Heath who was targeted only 3 times but he won't get the bulk of the carries either. He'll get some reps, then the bye week and then be the feature back.

Are offensive line SUCKS ASS why does everyone think He's going to magically make our running game better. Unless He can leap over defenders and get to the next level. I hope He makes the running game better but Im not holding my breath. Also can he block ?

Line has gotten better each week, are they close to being good? No, but they are showing improvement and the running game Sunday reflected that, something like 90 yards. Plus, Bell ran behind a s**t line in college and was still very productive and also led all backs with the most yards after contact. If his game translates to the pros, it will be a big boost.

This is the NFL though, BF. Out of the four carries he achieved in preseason, I wasn't impressed at all. He lacked vision and that'll kill him with our line. Runners like McCoy and Charles would do good with our line, only because they are types of runners that find holes and shift directions. We have no runners like that on this team.

Bell has more shiftiness than most here believe.

You can't base anything off of 4 carries. And yes, a lot of this is hoping his college game translates to the pros. From what I have watched on him, I believe it can.

Hey negative guy, Bell will be an upgrade to our offense plain and simple. Nobody is saying he's going to fix all our problems on the O.

Thats right numbah. He has really good cutting ability. Best on the team in fact. Second RB on this team which is better at cutting then Redman and Dwyer is Jones.

    Seriously! 4 Carries, my god.

BF is right. The OL HAS improved. Our running game looked like it had a pulse against the Bears. Dwyer seems like he has good vision... he can see where holes are developing but he just doesn't have the quickness to get there like Bell can.

The Steelers havent rolled out a true #1 caliber RB yet this season.

They need to get Bell on the edge, and get Decastro working in space in front of him. That's what he does well. DD was outside blasting people on Dwyer's long run.

AMEN! Bell has more speed and quickness than anyone else we have at RB. The line as far as running opened some holes, and Bell can get to the edge. We may not see 150 yards a game, and he may not be AP the second coming but he is much better than what we have, and he will change things up. CAN'T WAIT!

He's probably the best RB. I'm not gonna give my hopes up that he is going to be a savior for this team just yet though....This team has a lot of problems.
