His offense scored 20 and he was spotted seven and likely a 10-14 swing by the JH interception. He had ONE impressive drive in 60 minute game and was quite blah til that point.

Prior to the game-winning drive in Super Bowl XLIII, Ben Roethlisberger had 172 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception.

Rodgers had a MUCH better "game" than Ben has ever had is a SB. Ben had ONE DRIVE that was the best "drive" either ever had.

All you need is one drive. It literally won the game on the biggest stage. He was backed up inside the ten yard line, are you kidding me. Ben had no run game at that time,e, a terrible offensive line and one wr. Hines was hurt. Rodgers benefitted significantly from those Steelers turnovers.

My wife was one of the healthiest people I’ve ever been around. She was forced to get the Covid vaccine and 2 boosters or lose her job. She gets sick at least 4 times a year now. I will never get the plea the 5th jab.

It won the game because he was within reach due to the fact that AS THE CARDS WERE ABOUT TO SCORE OF BENS OWN TURNOVER, Harrison got a pick 6. If not for that play it could have gotten ugly early.

Here are the historical fact. You cannot lean on ONE RECEIVER like Ben did, throw ONE pick and ONE score to that receiver and win MVP..

EVERY RECEIVER IN HISTORY that had over half a QBs yardage, all his touchdowns, and won the game was MVP. Every single one.

Let me add one more point. Ben in the Jax loss in 2017 was MUCH BETTER than he was against the Cards. Ben did the Santonio drive REPEATEDLY in that game. The difference is the defense let Jax keep scoring.

He was better than the Ben that won championships. Ben always starts slow makes mistakes and closes strong. Defense is 100 percent of the difference that lost that game.

What do you mean lean on one receiver. He had nobody else. Give me a break. You har- on his turnover and downplay he dropped a perfect pass on the previous play which could have resulted in disaster. You are just a Ben hater.

Name calling means you are losing. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME and you call me a hater because I don't crown Ben MVP? Ben is in my opinion the best QB in franchise history. Heck I would not take issue if he was MVP of that game. In my view it was a close call. I take issue with the contention that he was robbed of it as some injustice.

On the last forum I was on the ONE TOPIC I WAS NOTORIOUS for not letting go of was was defending Bens OUTSTANDING play in the Jax game. There are people here who rolled their eyes because I just brought it up AGAIN. :roflmao:

You contend that Ben was robbed and deserved it more than Rodgers? WHO ON THE PACKERS HAD A GAME TO COMPETE WITH RODGERS?

If Rodgers took nearly an entire game to throw a single touchdown, and over half his passing was to one guy who caught that score you'd have a point.

Again I ask, what receiver had all a QBs scores, half his yards, won the game, and was not MVP?

    It has never happened.

Read what you just said brother.

You are literally making the case that he was completely dependent one ONE RECEIVER to win this game. Santonio drops a score and he STILL has nowhere else to go? Ben was absolutely awesome in that drive no question.

You really need to stop making my case. :lolol:

But Santonio had HOSTORIC RECEIVING NUMBERS AND CAUGHT BENS GAME WINNING SCORE. MVP always will tend to get MVP in that scenario. No dig at Ben.

If I am wrong show the example. The idea that it is some media hate for Ben specifically is ridiculous.

I didn’t call you a name. You and I both know any other QB in that SB with that drive wins the MVP. It was based on politics that’s obvious. Regarding the Packers SB there is no way Rodgers wins it if we don’t give it to the, with those turnovers that was my point. Rodgers was not the reason they won that SB there defense was.

It absolutely was media hate for Ben. 99 times out of 100 of its close between the QB or the receiver the QB gets it every time. Santonio had a great game as well but it was mainly all in that drive. He didn’t do much the rest of the game nor did Ben so that MVP was all based on that drive and that catch. That’s my point it could have been about that throw just as much. Ben made that throw twice in the end zone. Santonio only ,are that catch once in the end zone he dropped the other one. So based on that I’m giving it to the qb every time.

I am not an Arot fan
    But
Arot made some perfect throws in tight coverage that beat the Steelers
    Without Arot
    Steelers win going away
    Arot was the easy MVP

The case is Ben was hated by the national media and pundits. He would have to throw for 500 yards and 5 td’s to earn the MVP. Qb’s most often get the MVP if both the QB and WR have a good game — always.

I get sick of hearing about “The Drive” from Elway I think it was against the Browns. It wasn’t even the Super Bowl bit since it was Elway they over sensationalize the whole thing.

‘Rodgers was the MVP out of default. But he had multiple receivers and a better oline and rb to work with. If he only had one wr I still doubt that guy would have gotten the mvp. The real mvp was the defense but you can’t give a whole defense the mvp.

personally though I was never enamored with Rodgers. He is a great QB but like Brees I never thought there was any extraordinary talent there. He had the benefit of a great system and great coaching. As did Brees. But as far as real talent, he wasn’t Ben or Josh Allen or Maholmes or Marino etc.

You clearly don’t understand what I said. Ben was hated by the media because of what he did in Georgia.

Arron can make those perfect throws and it doesn’t matter if we don’t turn the ball over. That is why they won.
