    HMMM.
Here I thought a breakfast of 1 or 2 Blue Moon Extra would give a bump in VIT C to survive this trip

I don't think anybody wrote anything like that about Porter. He was just working through his obsession with Pickett. I mean, it has to be that, right? Such a well-respected poster couldn't just be hoping to start trouble, could he?

It doesnt unless one is lazy and stupid and let yourself get fat and out of shape which Bell is and did. That excuse only goes so far though, once he was back on the field and back in football shape, his talent should have taken over. You can maybe forgive him because it was the Jets but once he got to KC he was out of excuses, he just sucked at that point which means his play was nearing a cliff when he left us. So maybe we get one more good year out of him after paying him a boatload of money.

Let’s not forget that fat lazy and stupid turned down a good offer. But somehow this was all the Steelers fault.

did le'veon bell assault his cousin

Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell was ordered by an Ohio jury to pay $25 million in a civil lawsuit after his cousin, Jada Bell, accused him of long-term sexual abuse. [1, 2]

    The Lawsuit and Judgment
    • The Allegations: Jada Bell filed a civil lawsuit in March 2024 in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. She claimed that Le'Veon Bell and his brother, La'Vonte Bell, subjected her to nonconsensual sexual abuse beginning when she was a young child and continuing for about a decade. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    • The Court Outcome: A jury awarded a default judgment of $25 million against Le'Veon Bell and over $11 million against his brother after Le'Veon failed to appear or respond to the initial court hearings. [1, 2, 3]

    The Defense and Response
    • Le'Veon Bell's Denial: Le'Veon Bell Ordered to Pay $25M After Cousin’s Sex Abuse Claimnotes that Bell and his legal team adamantly deny all allegations. [1, 2]
    • Service of Process Dispute: Bell stated that he was never properly served with the legal complaint and only learned about the lawsuit shortly before the judgment was finalized. He is currently working to appeal and reverse the default judgment. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    Wow
I didn’t know this. A fine upstanding citizen
Shame on the Steelers for not giving him a blank check to fill out
Shame on us for blaming Mikey T for not winning playoff games in the last decade
When it was the Steelers fault for not paying Bell a blank check to fill out

Im nor arguing about Bell. What I'm saying is it's not a sure thing that a player that sits out s year in a pay dispute is automatically going to suck when he comes back. That's all. John Riggins sat out a year in a contract dispute and then had a hall of fame career. Sitting out usually destroys your leverage for a better contract i suppose due to teams not wanting that kind of player on their team. So it rarely works. The team still holds the rights to the player so I'm not sure what he gains by Sitting out. I suppose he can try it but it probably doesn't end well for him

I understood, I was trying to answer your question. People who miss a year due to injury are working hard to get back on the field as soon as possible. Bell took the year off from football completely. I imagine anyone that approaches a year away as he did will have difficulty coming back but as I said, it’s only an excuse that goes so far.

I dont see Porter sitting out. He’ll play out this season on his current deal if nothing is reached by the start of the season and back to negotiating next offseason.

Who said it was all their fault? Bell is an idiot. His agent was an idiot. The team didn't help itself, either, but there were no winners in all that.

That is subjective, but I'd point to the guy doing nothing but try to pick a fight over the folks having genuine differences in opinion.

you do realize we tried to sign Bell and gave him a pretty good offer.

I seem to remember a lot of people crashing out when he didn’t sign (fans AND Steeler players).

I’m pretty sure Porter is a top 5 CB when you look at CB’s signing or negotiating for a new contract

    Gonzalez
    Witherspoon
    McDuffie
    Ward
    JPJ

Porter is more valuable than Ward. I think he is already better, and he's a good bit younger.

umm.. yes you can. A million is still a million. We tend to forget that everything gets taxed so run me my money. Get all you can, while you can because once its over.. its just podcasting checks if you are lucky.

I’m not even arguing over placement. I just think folks forget that in contract years if you are in the top 5 at your position you want to get paid like it.

and what CB doesn’t think he is the better than the rest? lol

Sure, a beyond fair offer that he turned down. Exactly why I said Bell saved the Steelers from themselves.

What he is saying is there is no difference in lifestyle between $32M and $33M. Tell me that isn't true.
