    For anyone falling asleep when Renegade comes on at the stadium, perhaps this will wake them up. I had the good fortune to see Dick Dale perform twice at small venues where he kept blowing out the sound systems and power (apparently one of his personal quests wherever he performed). This makes the version used in Pulp Fiction seem tame. Crank those headphones and speakers and fasten your chinstraps. Best part, his fan base was known as The Dick Heads complete with hats and t shirts. I have one of his picks that says "Better Shred Than Dead" mimicking his staccato playing style.

    Based on his paternal heritage, I'd say Mt. Lebanon. JK. Most likely CA being the King of the Surf Guitar and all, but maybe Hawaii? Doesn't really matter right now, he's below the surface so to speak. He claims that Tarantino wrote the Pulp Fiction script around his famous rendition of Misirlou.
