I always said if Justin Fields was to be good with the Jets

Good trade. They got a low more than I thought. He's had a couple years in this league to show something. Time to move on.

I don't think he will amount to much for the Cowboys.

    In all honesty
Fields was **** before he came to the burgh
    Dotson was a Tomlin failure

We have the Cowboys 3, 5th and 6th next year, so even more reason.

Really stumped to what the Cowboys have done
    Appreciate the gifts
    But
Taking a chance and giving picks up for someone coming back from a major neck injury
    Doesn’t quite make sense
    Or
The neck injury wasn’t as bad as I thought

Everybody got blamed for Fields being unsuccessful
    Chicago
    Pittsburgh
    Jets
    Everyone blamed except for Fields

You mean we didn’t extend him for 5-yrs, $140 million, $62 million guaranteed?

Now do Kaleb! Heck, get a 5th rounder at least.

Then how come McCarthy didn't get Jones to improve and had him move around just like the previous staff .

I don't think any team is dumb enough to give up a 5th for Kaleb.

I was rooting for the guy. Wish him the best in Dallas..

I was thinking swing tackle, keep him for depth but he probably wasnt going to play much this year and then they were going to let him go so the trade makes sense from that standpoint.

Wouldn't want Fields to be a bust but he is probably better at backup.

Like the guy, but I think his trajectory will be more like Dan Moore than Kevin Dotson

Unfortunately for Jones it's not the neck, it's the head. This was a good get.
btw, this means a thumbs up for MaxI. He will be the man this season. It's certainly not Cook.

You do know he is coming back from a serious neck injury?
Most of us wouldn’t even be back to our regular jobs yet

I didn't say he was great, but the team had a winning record with him as a starter.

His play was inconsistent before the neck injury, that just made the decision easier for the Steelers to not pick up his 5th year option.

No reason to send them a Fourth round pick too.

    Dallas was desperate weren’t they?
