cut wimper and wait after the first week to see if somebody is available so we don't have to guaranteed all salary , i would do it with carter and gay too nobody they will pick them up and in anycase there will be someone better on the streets . our roster is poor don't make people rich for nothing save some money for someone better

This team is about moving forward not backwards, this team isn't super bowl ready and when it is Starks will be long gone. It's time to get the new blood in, not the old farts.

I'd sign him for depth...as he would be a solid backup...if he is now willing to be one...instead of just wanting to start.

finally , we are not contender why loose money for a 370 fat guy that was not even able to make the chargers roster ? let's hope cincy cut fragel or look to something similar , we need to grow new talents what we had was cut and is garbage now

Starks has to be really bad not to make the Chargers their O-line isn't good. I would take him back with the Steelers to be a backup OT.

he's probably better than any backup we have now. The Bears also cut a starter for two years from their team. I bet both are better than anyone sitting on our bench.

It's a new bunch of guys working together, most of them were drafted in the past 4 years, it's tough to say how the line is doing when they can't even stay healthy, now they have a new line coach. ( to add to the twist) Let them get used to each and they'll be ok,,,

and it's up to Ben to help them by getting rid of the ball quicker,,they can only hold the line for so long before the holding calls begin to pile up. I'm not sold on Adams ,,but for the rest I can live with for now,,they're still young pups.

I would rather starks be back on this team then William Gay in all honesty. Starks as a back up is not a bad idea, hes well liked by Ben and other guys, and would be a vet in the locker room for this young o-line. Dont want him back as a starter though.

Max doesn't fit our new scheme. He is better than wimper and we do still run some man blocking so as a back-up only.

We already have 2 OT that can't pass block, no use in making
    it three.

The Chargers needed help on the OL just as much we did and for them to release Max that should raise a flag for Pittsburgh. What did they see or didn't see... ACL linger? lack of mobility? IMO forget the idea and move on!

This guy (Adams) should be cut some slack. He'd be a fantastic RT and is getting beat up around here for struggling after being moved to LT half way through camp.. Everyone else is young and deserves time to "get it" except Adams? I just don't understand the logic at times. Not calling you out Jim, I've just seen way too much bashing of Adams to be comfortable with it.

If he wouldn't cost us too much I'd take him back for depth at least. I disagree with the notion this team isn't SB ready. We are a good O line away from being ready.most parts are in place. Ben don't have that much time left. We don't have too much time to waste. We need to rebuild on the run cause when Ben is gone so are our chances.

yep, let's go back to not being able to run the ball and 40+ sacks a year on ben. yea that's some smart thinking.

throw away the new zone blocking scheme too because fat max can't run in it. sure why not bring his over paid worthless azz back to take beachums spot. why not? then we could get the first pick next year and we better use it on a new qb because ben won't even be able to be a backup. he'll be sucking strained pea's through a straw in some care facility. heck kemoeatu isn't doing anything either, he should be rested now and 400 lbs. why not? is simmons available? Essex?

this is as bad as golic jr. should make the team so they talk about us on mike and mike.

He's not nearly as bad as you've suggested over the years mac.. and nobody's suggesting he takes Beachum's spot. As an emergency swing Tackle, we could do worse..

he's another year older and if he's that good , he would be here or be in SD protecting rivers , even as a backup. absolutely not what we need. SD was in dire need of a LT and max can't even become a backup there. NO. figgin NO. absolutely friggin NO. absolutely, positively friggin NO. did I mention NO? :smiley1: < saying this in the nicest possible way. NO. :facepalm:LOL

scoot over, I need a spot on the bridge. NOOOoooooooooo ........ splash.
