I had never heard of Vicksburg until years after song came out. I loved that song for motivation. And to this day I sing Pittsburgh but out of respect I leave the "H" off at the end;)

Way back in the 1800's when I was in High School, my guitar buddy and I did this song at a school assembly. The principal was watching us very closely for slipups. LOL.

And now for something completely different. This band popped at random for me in YouTube. It looks like the guitar/bass player builds the rhythm parts live with a looper and then plays over it. Weird look, but the music gets catchy when the song is built up.

Norwegian guitarist Rolf Lislevand plays the 1679 Stradivari Sabionari, a Baroque guitar with gut strings, one of only five surviving guitars built by Stradivari and the only one still playable today.

Was cruising through some early Fleetwood Mac tunes (Peter Green days) and found a link to this live version of Green Manalisha from a few years ago called Mick Fleetwood and Friends. Green of course wrote it way back in 1968. You may recognize the singer and superlative guitarist. Apparently Kirk is playing Green's Les Paul that he used when it was originally recorded? Very tasty IMO. Also watch Steven Tyler (and Billy Gibbons) singing Oh Well on the next video that appears.

Kirk has used a Gibson LP to play Fade to Black every time I’ve seen him play it.

Hmm. Ive seen Him with Metallica 3 times live, and I don't remember him playing one, but I haven't seen them live since the Black Album. I guess I should have said Ive never seen him play a Gibson when I seen him play live.
So when where the years you seen them live, and when is this recording you are showing??

Justice tour, whenever that was. For some reason I recall he also played the black LP on Sanitarium. The video is just something I pulled on YouTube that showed him playing the LP as an example. This is like I remember and looks to be from the Justice era.

I did see him play live a Gibson looking ESP, but not a actual Gibson, but of course I didn't got to every show they played. Ive just seen them live 3 times, and all before the Black Album

Ha, I was getting ready to post the same thing.

This one is hilarious because they intentionally censor far more than necessary, and it makes it sound like it's even worse :lolol:
