Steelers’ Thursday night QB rotation

Yeah, Rudolph is supposed to get one or two series. If it's 2 series and we get a few first downs then that will eat a lot of clock. Not to mention Love is starting for the Packers and you can assume that his one or two drives will eat some time. That doesn't leave a whole lot of time in the first quarter for Allar.

 

That may very well be but you and I both know that just because someone says it, doesn't make it so. And ...... what about the other direct statements which are probably also heresay?

 

Can’t wait for Friday morning so fans can argue about the depth chart of backup QB’s.

 

If Love is starting you may see some quick drives, as he will be throwing against the Steelers backup DBs, as so many players in the backfield are currently out with injuries.

The old days of Ben playing in the Preseason with all his starters... 2 quick series resulting in 2 scores and then off the field.

Offensively, the Steelers have been the most boring team in the NFL to watch ever since Ben retired. It will be a pleasant change to see the ball thrown up the middle, and hopefully they'll take more shots deep. I don't think I could've taken another season of that dink and dunk offense.

I predict if Allar completes even one pass that Joel will unilaterally move him up the depth chart to #2

 

He will already be measuring him for his gold jacket. LoL

 

You would be wrong this week. If he plays light out until the season starts... check in with me. Allar in my opinion has about a 20% chance to win the back up QB job to start the season.

 

I don't like to see anyone get injured, especially at QB because it creates such a ripple effect. That being said, you know at least one or two QB's will go down in the next few weeks and that could help us fix the backup QB problem which we have been unable to fix on our own.

 

He's waiting to see what the OL looks like. If it's dookie he'll excuse himself until the games count.

Howard is fighting for Steelers to keep 4 qb on the roster. The other three are not getting cut. It’s between Howard and someone at other position.

They all played great so this is the debate.

Mason has been battle tested in actual games. That is pretty important and not one to really gloss over imo.

Anyone remember how good Kenny Pickett did in preseason?

I'm not sure if you can cut Mason if you want that insurance at backup QB. I also don't think there's any way you cut the other two young ones.

So they have an important decision to make.
