If the plan was to have Ramsey play FS, this is why I thought we'd cut him before the triggers in his contract this summer.

It doesn't make sense to pay an FS who's ~ average like a very good CB.

Hopefully Ramsey can be a very good slot-CB. Then the price tag will make more sense.

 

If he was that good, why did Miami trade him for a second time?

 

Remember Fields and Wilson had a winning record with the Steelers, the next year both of them got benched for bad play. But the Steelers HC can't coach and doesn't know what he's doing .

 

Miami want a high draft pick for 2027...They also trade Waddle and several other players

 

Or they didn't want to pay that contract for a player who no longer makes splash plays.

Either way I appreciated Minkah for his time here. He became less splashy with his play later on, but was still a great player imo.

With that said, I do believe it was time to shake things up.

I actually think this is Minkah just polishing his resume. The man will have a good year I predict.
