Yeah, the coaching staff sucked here the last decade. Let's hope this staff is better.

Unfortunately for Fitz he probably forgot more football than the DC ever knew.

The coordinator blind spot of the previous HC was the most maddening part of it all. And if the HC wanted to run the defense then best that he didn't hire a coordinator to begin with.

I did not. Slay definitley wiltered here in Pittsburgh but his Career was already set in stone long before he got here. That said, I am starting to wonder whether this intrigue of older CBs really was Tomlin.

Too early to tell but I still remain cautiously optimistic about Jamel Dean.

Why do I feel like Minkah in fact did talk to them but was shut down?! Again, this is all speculative by me; nothing definitive overall. I do recall him upon calling out the lack of overall effort in the locker room while he was here though.

Perhaps, in that moment, that could have rubbed the staff the wrong way. That said, Patrick Queen has stated very similar during his time here; somewhat negating that point.

I need someone to explain how a player who's best years in the NFL were all under Tomlin, and not the other HCs he played for,and yet it was Tomlins fault that he didn't do better??

Prime of his career. We saw what he was capable of until they changed his role and he went in the ****ter.

So we are just saying dumb stuff today.
I like when the air is purple with dragons flying throughout the skies, and I believe if they didn't invent electricity the Steelers would be a better team.
    There does that work??

    LoL.
    LoL.
So if we just get anybody off a team in the prime of their years they will all of a sudden become all pros??
    Stop.
You , and I both know that's stupid. His best years were when he was playing under Tomlin, not before , or after

7 of his 9 seasons was with the steelers. He was great at the start but for some reason his role has changed after that and he did not have the same impact

Hmm , and age , and injuries somehow didn't have anything to do with this??
    Yes , or no .
Did he automatically get better as soon as he started playing for the Steelers ??
    Simple yes ,or no.
Let me try for the people that have reading comprehension issues, and again Im not making fun.
What I would like for You to do is please pick yes , or no for the following question.
Did M. Fitzpatrick automatically get better as soon as he came to the Steelers?? Yes, or No

I said that Fitzpatrick in my previous post was great at the start,so you should understand that if you don't have comprehension issues!...This is also true he did not have the same impact when his role had changed for some reason in his last 2 years with us who was what Fitzpatrick was saying. Both can be true

Secondary was not much better in 2022 and Watt was out for half of the season and did not had the same numbers when he was back

    So read problems. Hmm
I didn't see a yes ,or no yet..
So a guy who automatically gets better when he comes to a HC, and get worse when he leaves was somehow held back because of the the same HC???
    Got it. LoL.
    Make that make sense

How about we stop with the name calling? I agree his best years were under tomlin, that doesn't make Tomlin a great coach.

Thats not the argument though. Fitz is saying that he felt he had more to offer than just playing single high and that once teams went away from him his splash plays dried up. He felt that he should have gone to the coaches and talked about being used differently because he felt he had the skills to make more of an impact.
