He’s been talking up Howard more than that for a longer period of time.

I’ll be shocked if McCarthy keeps a 31 year old very middling BU QB over a 25 year old with more upside.

Question was clearly and accurately answered prior to facepalm

It just doesn’t fit your fictitious conspiracy theory

    Kind of like Larry’s physical

It doesn't sound like it's a serious injury for Max.

    He didn’t move very much

Of his 879 defensive-line snaps last season, 869 came from the left side

I think this is how we humans tend to think. Like how I smiled when the first play I saw from the Hall of Fame game highlight pick was Pickett getting sacked. Confirmation bias feels good.

In reality, the middle two should probably be the answer just about all the time for the preseason. But I'd rather have all our players playing well.

The crappy thing about camp is that it's "Steeler on Steeler". So ever play I see leaves me wondering if one of our guys is good or if it's just the other guy being bad. When the reality is that one play probably doesn't end up meaning all that much by itself.

It will probably be good that we have 2x starting NFL WRs on the team this year.

Hopefully the early hype for Wilson pays out too. I haven't heard much about Bernard yet...but hopefully he can start generating some buzz too.

Thats the thing I saw in those two TD clips by Allar. Everyone is so excited about the scores but aren't looking at the drill. It was 1v1 CB vs WR. The back shoulder throw looked like a touch pass with no speed to it and the arc looked some what shallow in a real game or 11 v 11 a safety could have jumped that and go for six. The second one was a great move by the receiver who threw a fake move that the DB fell for and so he was all alone and caught it going to the sideline. I'm not sure that happens in a real game as someone could have been in the passing lane by them. Definitely something to be excited about good plays by Allar and the receivers but stuff to work on as well

If Aaron Rogers doesn't chicken out, Dink and dunk, I look for WR's Pittman especially to have a very good year.I do not have much faith in Rogers not chickening out though. I believe Pittman's
last 4 years have been very productive catch wise. Plus he is 6' 4" 223 can win contested catches.

WCO relies on short passing and YAC. Washington and Metcalf both in the top 10 in that category last season. To this point in Pittman's career he hasn't shown to be top shelf there. Maybe it's the offenses he's been in that limited his opportunities, not sure.

Pittman's prob was that the Colts overpaid him. He's a solid possession type outside the hash, tough and durable. Colts just wanted him to be Mike Evans.

Pittman, Bernard, and Metcalf are not a bad trio at wideout. I figure Bernard is going to be the top dog once he gets the offense down, but until that happens those other two should be able to move the chains. It's hard to imagine this offense not taking major strides this season.

Theres short passing game and then there is what we do with passes at or behind the LOS. 61% of our passes were 5 yards or fewer. WC averages 7-10 yards. Also, McCarthy runs his variation of a WC, he likes to mix in more vertical or as CeeDee coined it, Texas Coast offense.

Here’s to hoping it’s Texas Coast Offense and not Texas Toast Offense
