In the five seasons of the killer B's 2013-2017 they won a grand total of 3 playoff games.

 

The steelers did not have a top 6 record in the AFC in 4 of the last 5 years....The steelers need to thank the new playoffs format(and the weak afc north of 2025)for making the playoffs

Can you tell us how many playoff games Ben, Bell, and Brown played together in this span?

Funny because I brought this point up a week or so ago...maybe even in this very thread!

 

There have only been four seasons since Ben retired after the 2021 season. I'm pretty sure my ass is smarter than you.

 

I don't know about Elite Talent, but the defense underperformed big time last year... It was obvious they were too predictable, outdated, and lacked creativity... The opponent had too much pitch and catch for good gain in 2025 and in the second half of 2024.

It's also true they underperformed in the Killer B's era, which was one of TrueFan's points.

I don't think the 2014 game vs ravens would change much if Bell would been in the lineup,the ravens were scoring on every drive outside of 2 in that game on offense....The steelers would have to score on almost every drive to have a chance.This is very hard to do

Same thing for the 2016 game in New England but worse.The only game it would maybe change the result was the 2015 game in Denver

2017,everyone was healthy but Tomlin allow to the steelers to have too much arrogance before that game(Remember Bell and Mike Mitchell)and they were not ready to play

Agree with all of this... but Sean Spence instead of Ryan Shazier hurt Steelers defense vs Jags in 2017 divisional. Fournette ran all over them. He couldn't be stopped. But pretty sure Steelers had Shazier in the regular season vs Jags.... and the results were about the same. Steelers defense was very poor vs Jaguars run game in both 2017 contests.

NFL should return to only 6 seeds. What is the best a 7th seed has ever done in both conferences? It would be interesting to know.

 

Maybe those overpaid players like Watt and Heyward should show up and dominate in the playoffs for once .
