Minus the pendulating dingle balls, of course. Can you imagine the 6-6 Mick standing next to the 5 ft Nicks?

Sadly no, getting away from work is too difficult.

I see that in my future once I close up shop, maybe catch a beer with jeh if hes still above ground.

They did more than stand next to each other apparently. That band was a regular soap opera.

Says the guy that will post just about anything or start a thread about anything. Says the guy that will bash a Steelers' Hall of Fame player anytime you feel like it.

If you don't like it, don't post in the thread. You'd be doing everyone a huge favor by sparing us your takes on pretty much everything.

I have found if he has to post

    And apparently he does

Then it is better if he regurgitates someone else’s thoughts rather than his own

I have yet to see an independent thought from said poster who is obviously very thin-skinned. It's a wonder he has anyone to interact with due to his ignore list being 2/3 of the MB. I'm guessing an overly protected childhood experiencing participation trophies and no scoring. A person who lacks the resilience to overcome and survive failure. Probably into gaming at least 8 hours a day in his mom's basement.

Sometimes, I actually miss the days of the mid 90's... when I lived in my mom's basement. Very few bills... hardly any responsibilites. But that nostalgia wears off pretty quick.... when I fathom the thought of living with my parents again.

I have been fascinated by the Big Boys trip across the country on several different levels. First because it is the last operating Big Boy steam engine. Second about why there are at least 3 diesel engines behind it. Third and perhaps the most important what is up with their idiots standing on the tracks in front of a moving train? I mean it isnt going bullet train fast but th as t steam engine, three diesel engines, several passenger cars and some freight cars, that thing isnt stopping on a dime. Can we let natural selection do its work? Get off the tracks morons.

    1) I was very near the tracks. I grew up around railroad tracks and spent a lot of time hopping trains. But yes 9 out of 10 of those people are idiots.

    2) The diesels serve many functions: automatic train control to prevent wrecks and required by Department of Transportation and the owner of the tracks, emergency if the steam locomotive breaks down, dynamic braking the steam loco custom made brakes are very expensive, the diesels are part of the UP Heritage fleet and are part of the display, one of the diesels has to operate the brakes and other operating systems on every car after the tender.

My wife and I succeeded in driving our final baby bird out of the nest through the use of loud sex. She was skeptical it would work. I, however, having experienced such a phenomenon first-hand in my youth, had no such doubts. :rawk:

I used to hop trains also back in the day, but I believe we already talked about that.

That's interesting I was thinking they had at least one so they didnt stress out the Big Boy too much, but didn't think about the braking as well. I missed it heading east so Im hoping that if they head back west that they come through MN and ND. I got to see BNSF's 250 celebration engines and rolling stock when they came through but the Big Boy would be just a piece of history to see.

Just a thought but at the time that locomotive was only doing about 10 mph
