Let's hope McCarthy is growing a new turnip with blood in it. :lolol:

What about the poor defense who gave up over 400 yards despite the texans QB was awful?

They weren't scoring though early on even if you put McVay as HC of the Steelers in that game they weren't going to win.

Some people forget the score was 7-6 until the offense gave the ball away for a score, and then turned around, and gave the ball away again. Maybe they should watch the game again, and stop looking at stats.
Oh wait I forgot some people think that yards are more important than points. LoL

Some people think when teams score they teleport into the end zone and yards given up does not matter.

The game was over at 7-6, the Steelers could have played 10 more quarters and wouldn't have scored another point.

I don't think the Steelers were going to win the game but Metcalf dropping that pass early on could've been huge for momentum.

I 100% agree the offense was the biggest reason why they lost but the defense still wasn't good... Stroud kept the Steelers in the game for a very long time; an average performance from him would have been worse for the steelers... I mean, the Texans still had over 400 offensive yards and 10-15 on third down in this game despite the poor game by Stroud

Some people still do not realize how many games are played, and that the team that loses has more yards than the winner.
35% - 40% of games are lost by the team with the most yards historically, but never lost by the team with the most points.
Wish I had someone else's mic to drop. I'd slam it. LoL

We shall see, but I believe we have been picked to have a losing season by many for the last 5 years. So again we shall see

That still means the team with the most yardage is winning 60-65% of the games. No mic drop for you :lolol:

A team that gives up a ton of yardage will have a fatigued defense and less opportunities on offense. It matters, a lot, it’s not a meaningless stat you like to pretend it is.

I could think the Steelers will go 14-3 and they could go 3-14
I could think the Steelers will go 3-14 and they could go 14-3
I could also think the Steelers go 8-9 and they go 9-8

Thinking does do much, it's the doing.
So I hope they do well and make tailgate parties much happier.
Beer just tastes better when the Steelers win.

No what it means is many games are lost by the team with the most yards, and none are lost by the team with the most points, so why would a person with any critical thinking chose yards over points, but Im sure You will have at least two people agree with you, and guess what, I don't even have to look to know who they are.
I got 500 bucks saying @Steelersfan43@Steelersfan43 is one, and that's all I need to say about that. LoL
If Im wrong let me know, but if someone disagrees with me You can guarantee he will be the 1st to agree with them. Ah the small petty minds of some people. LoL

I don't think someone have said that points did not matter....But more you have yards, the most likely you will have points....This is most likely to have 30 points or more when you have 400 offensive yards that when you have 200-250 yards. You need that your defense put you in great field position because of turnovers to score 30 points when you have under 250 offensive yards

There is no perfect measuring stick for ranking defenses but going by points is one of the most flawed ways to do it.

As for the last part, I dont know why you are even focused on who agrees or disagrees with posts :lolol:

Hoge thinks MM is stairway to seven.

I was just saying something similar minus the SB prediction.

17 Days remaining until Training Camp.

Going to be interesting to see what the new regimen is like. Wanna see if seven shots is still used as well.

Help me dust off a brain cell

Long ago the first day of camp they had some one on one drill with a name like the nutcracker or something

It was designed to set the tone
