The Steelers first pre-season game will be Home against the Packers on 08/13/26. Then home again on 08/21/26 versus the Jets before finishing up on the road at Buffalo on 08/27/26.
I should have added that all 3 games are at 7 pm.

The NFL is putting all three of the Steelers' preseason games on NFL Network -- all in prime time. On Tuesday, ESPN issued a press release listing all NFL Network and ESPN preseason games.

The preseason opener versus Green Bay is at home Thursday, Aug. 13. It'll be a 7 p.m. start. Green Bay will play against former Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers and ex-head coach Mike McCarthy. That should draw eyeballs to TVs, even if it is just a preseason game.

    If Rodgers plays, of course.

If he doesn't, hey, more snaps for Will Howard and Drew Allar in their Black and Gold debuts, which will keep Steelers fans watching.

The preseason Week 2 game against the New York Jets is also a home contest at Acrisure Stadium. It'll be played Friday, Aug. 21. That'll be a 7 p.m. start as well. That's another potential Rodgers storyline game after he played in New York for two seasons in between Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

During the 2025 regular season, the Steelers won in New York last year and lost to the Packers at home.

The Steelers' lone road preseason game will be in Buffalo on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. That game will have the Buffalo play-by-play call on NFL Network. The two home-game broadcasts will use the Steelers' KDKA-TV play-by-play.

My Friend Im always excited to watch. Its the 1st time I get to see new faces rookies/free agents in the Black ,and Gold. I actually hope Rodgers doesn't play very much in the preseason. I'd like to see our other Qbs, I know what Rodgers brings to the table.

Should go back to 4 games. Three might not be enough to properly evaluate the newbies and rooks.

It’s not and vets don't get timing down but money talks and they will shortly go to 2

The game is getting watered down

If they go to an 18 game schedule then it will likely only be two preseason games.

    By the numbers;

    1970s - 1 game = 7.1% of the season
    1980s - 1 game = 6.3% of the season
    2010s - 1 game = 5.9% of the season
    2030s - 1 game = 5.6% of the season

Kinda like ice cream. First it was 1/2 gallons, then 1 1/2 quarts, now 1.4 quarts are showing up.

But, the bright side is they have a long way to go to catch up with baseball or basketball :laughs:

I keep hearing this, but how many preseason games does college football have.

I can see more teams practicing together once they go to an 18 game season with only 2 preseason games

The only thing of any value to pre season now is finding a sleeper that makes the team. Starters don’t play more than a series or two the entire schedule. And even those series are vanilla practice like reps. When they had 4 games it was still vanilla but usually game 3 starters played a half.

Basic Internet + Hulu Live/Sling/YouTube, etc.... is anywhere from $100-$150 cheaper than cable or satellite TV. Believe I know... I've tried to get my Boomer dad's Spectrum bill down to a reasonable cost, but he likes Turner Classic Movies and extra ESPN channels for college football... so this extra package (not included with basic cable) along with old school cable boxes add over $120 to his bill. Talk about price gouging. The cable companies know that old, retired boomers will pay the extra cost so Spectrum/Comcast will charge what they want.

I’m an old fart and still have a dish with DishNetwork

Nog by choice but reliable high speed internet (or even reliable low speed) is not available where I live

I have a T Mobile box that works great when it works but they make cellular a priority and I can tell you exactly when kids get out of school and when they finish dinner because my Internet dies

Not slow down but it stops
