I agree that was a terrible decision by Cowher and I think the ball was even closer to the one yard line. We were finally crawling back into the game after looking like we were getting blown out. That decision by Cowher completely destroyed the momentum we had going for us.

 

If they kicked the FG, it wasn't a given the game would've played out the same with the Vikings hitting that big play. What does Cowher have to do with this; Tomlin let his players talk him into going for that 4th down against the Vikings.

Regarding the OP title I remember that I asked my wife to get married on a downswing

With a made FG I doubt there wasn't going to be an 80 yard play given up on the Vikings next offensive play .

again you can't be sure about that....When you are up by 2 scores at the end of the game,the last thing you want is to gave up a long play...Up by 10 or 13 points don't change the strategy on defense.

I could said that with a FG,the vikings would startied their drive at around the 30 yards line instead at the 3 or 4 and they would score a TD on that play instead to be tackle,so the vikings would have more time left after that...To go on fourth down was the right decision but to run on fourth down was living in the fear

Remember when you claimed the Steelers were going to get outcoached by the Vikings . The Steelers were in control for most of that game.
