DC Patrick Graham understands The Standard

Steeler fans may have to live with the real possibility that without a DC-minded HC the defense could be average going forward (i.e, what we saw in 2025). Will you be angry with an average defense if the offense can be consistently top 10 in the league?

You should know. Everytime you start making it , or saying something political.

 

That makes no sense, you have to be winning big to be in a 4th quarter prevent and Steelers have been wining big in the 4th quarter about 5 games over the past 5 or 6 years.

 

You don't have to be winning big. You do know that many teams on 3, and long have a type of prevent throughout the game.

Frustration gets the better of me, but this whole board is just good banter and keeping football interesting. This has helped given the state of the Steelers the past 10 years. (Had to get that in).

When I don't like someone, I don't answer their post. I don't put them on ignore because I believe it's weak, but I treat them like a yapping puppy, and pay them no attention. Hell I argue with a lot of people on here that I consider friends. Example: @Blast Furnace , but I never had to agree with everything a person says, or feels to like a person, that I believe is a newly created concept made by the weak minded.

I'm confident that our defense will be better under McCarthy.

 

This is possible but the defense were also brutal in Green Bay come playoffs time under McCarthy with the exception of 2010.Look at 2009,2011,2012 and 2016

Of course the difference,McCarthy is a offensive coach but he stick too long with Dom Capers who was washed with his outdated scheme at the end(his scheme was great for the 1990s and 2000s but not after 2010 with the new safety rules in the nfl)
