Where did you pull that unscientific number from??? Let me guess where, it’s dark cramped and smelly!

I routinely hear Blount named as the best and cite how he made them change the rules as one of the reasons.

I guess you just want to argue today. How about remembering on this very board how every time a great CB from the Steelers is mentioned, Woodson is the name always mentioned 1st. Hell if it wasn't for me , and a few old guys Blount wouldn't even be mentioned. How about a little top 10 Steelers players they just did a month ago, and Woodson was on it, but no mention of Blount. Like I said You are just in a argumentative mood. I can find many list of top Steelers that Woodson is in, but Blount isn't

I “still” Go to Stillers.com from time to time to get Mill’s commentary's, But I find it a bit erratic, he skips weeks, and all to frequently says report will be brief to his being busy or late game or whatever,

Don’t always agree with him, but I do find him humorous.

Anyone that ranks Woodson above Blount is probably too young to remember Blount.

    Seeing is believing

And I would not be surprised if 80% of the posters here never watched Mel play

Woodson last played for PIT in 1996, 30 yrs ago. I wouldn’t be surprised that 80% of posters never saw Woodson play for the Steelers. For many arguing Rod vs Mel is like arguing Genghis Kahn vs Napoleon, never saw them play, but I heard a lot about them.

I'm not so sure about that. It wouldn't surprise me if at least 50% of the regular posters on this board are 50+, probably a good percentage of them are even 60+. At least, that's my impression.

I would say this is correct. There are a few younger members but I think the board tilts in favor of the older fan base.

Yet every time I read a post about firing all the coaches, owner needs to sell the team, trade all the veteran players for draft picks, etc, I always wonder if that poster has their driver learner permit yet.

Not sure if some of you realize but for the fans that werent fortunate enough to see Blount and Woodson play, there was this wonderful invention that records images on the screen and lets you watch players from yesteryear.

    Really cool stuff. Groundbreaking.

Im partial to Blount, more physically dominating. But he was elite in coverage too. And he remained a steeler his whole career.

Yeah, he got a ton of carries... That's the point I was making though. Some Steeler fans think he was good because of his stats, but the team didn't pick up the 5th year option and when he was on the open market there wasn't a single team that felt like he was good enough to be their starting back... The team that did value him and sign him drafted a RB in the first round immediately. I think that tells you what the league felt about Najee and his 1,000 yard seasons.
