It is a good story, and now looking at that video he wasn't alone in that room so maybe there were other local players just having a good time hanging out. But then it swings to the "Planned TV Show Moment", when Rodger Goodell just happens to appear on stage with him.

Was Goodell out there for any other 7th round picks?

He'll probably make a good assistant coach.

Would be really fun if this guy becomes an important piece of the offense. Easy to root for.

I love this kid. I made a comment about him being a poor man's CMC in one thread, and then saw that you said it before me in another thread. Great minds!

He is a really good football player. My one question is about his size and his strength. I think it is going to be in his best interests if he can add about 10-12 pounds of solid muscle to his frame, and get a little stronger while keeping his quickness.

He can do so many things well with his legs and his receiving ability, but at the NFL level I just think he needs to be just a hair bigger. If he can do that, he has a real shot to be good.

This video says he was invited by the league to be at the draft.

Has the potential to be a steal in the 7th. I dont know how often players from Navy make an impact in the NFL, though. Roger Staubach the most famous obviously.

As an Army fan I can attest that this kid is good. I am glad he got drafted and also glad Army doesn’t have to deal with him anymore.

I really hope that he's sitting at RB3 on the depth chart by the end of camp.

He might be able to play some slot WR.

Dude sounds like he gets a piece of the Gainwell snaps as a best case.

This is an area where we’ll see if things are different under new coaching. Under Tomlin you didnt get on the field until you had pass protection down.

Seems like a good rule but we’ll see how McCarthy approaches it.

I THINK MM will be similar. At least from what I remember in Green Bay. Guys had to know their pass protection roles or at least be out there making aggressive mistakes.

But I can't remember the development details for every RB.

I may have seen him play 2 games all year, but I've watched his highlights since, and while I'm not that impressed with his runs, His catching abilities are phenomenal. I hope He does well. He maybe our next Gainwell.

MM commented on opening up the playbook for Wetjen, and I believe that included Eli. Going to be a fun year!

I wonder if they are even thinking of him as a running back. Given his size, he may be a slot receiver who gets the occasional carry. I'm not so sure this is the end of Kaleb Johnson just yet.

I like the kid and hope they find creative ways to use him, but maybe his NFL future is at receiver.

I like the idea, but how much can they use two guys like that? Warren needs to get the ball. Dowdle needs to get the ball. They actually have three viable wide receivers now. Washington and Freiermuth will get their share of plays. Hopefully, a better offense will create more opportunities, but there are only so many touches to go around.

Kaleb Johnson just tweeted “Eli Heidenreich is Roman Wilson’s replacement, not minds”

Heidenreich and Wetjen are going to have the Steelers running that old Patriots offense with Edelman and Welker :hehehe:.
