Looks like the QB's are dropping to Round 3. I don't see anyone left in round 2 that is QB needy.

 

Yet just about everybody had Lemon ranked higher than Bernard, and he beat out Jeremiah Smith for best receiver last year .

Little note being a GM, or scout doesn't make you infallible. We see GMs, and scouts make mistakes year in, and year out. Just to say that's their job, and therefore their right , and I'm wrong doesn't cut it. GMs , and scouts took Anthony Richardson in the 1st, took Broderick Jones, took T. Edmunds, took 7 edge rusher before TJ Watt, took Justin Fields, took Trubisky, took Kenny Pickett, took JaMarcus Russell, need I go on???

I watched Allar play a lot at Penn State, he has the measurables, but didn't fit Franklin's system. He tends to get panicky and see ghosts. Project QB.

I am not high on Beck at all because Howard is a more athletic version.

I don't know much about Nussmeier. Didn't see him play.

I would feel like this was a reach if we picked a different WR.

I think that's what happened with Edmunds and with Bush.

The guy we actually wanted at the position was gone, so we just went with the next guy at that position no matter what.

Here, it feels like we had a board and went down the board.

The guy at the top of our board appears to have been Lemon. He got picked. Then we went with a tackle because he was next on our list.

From the outside without all the info, I think that seems like the correct process.

The question (as always re: the draft) is whether or not the scouting and the ordering of the prospects on the board is reasonable.

 

Sit tight and take a safety and a guard in the third round.

Steelers fans are often green with envy looking at the picks of those two teams. They draft in the top 5 nearly every year and all that raw talent gets them nowhere every.....single.....year.

Roseman and Schneider are the best GM's in the NFL. They not only make moves, but know how to manage their cap.

NFL Network said Eagles get Bernard and 7th this year, give up 3rd Round Comp Pick this year, and 3rd next year. That is a good trade.
