NOT a fan of Freeling, not sure why he has first round buzz, at least 5 OTs that are clearly better, but maybe he made an A in Chemistry or International Economics or something.

Agreed. If anything, if they like a player and think they can get him 4 or 5 picks later, trade back and add another day two pick this year or next year.

If they trade up, it'd better be for a stud that has slipped into double-digit territory.

Im higher on Lemon than you are, I dont think hed be pigeonholed to the slot but thats certainly where he would fit best on this team. I like him and Boston but with Pitt and DK they dont really need him. I like KC too, has elite separation skills but obviously has the drops issue.

I like Vega most but not sure they need to move up for anyone, there’s several guys they need that are good that one should be available when they pick, they can just let the draft come to them. Vega might make it down to them without trading for him or maybe where they only have to make a small jump like they did for Jones.

I've seen some mock drafts just in the last day that have us taking Blake Miller the 6'7" 317 OT from Clemson at #21. Miller started the first game of his freshman year 4 years ago and never missed a start playing in 54 consecutive games.

i think it's time to move on. i would for sure move fautanu over to the left. early in camp and let james campen work with him there. it's where he is the best. it's where he played in college except for 2 games at LG. let's stop square pegging him like MT did. we have cook as the depth piece or starter depending on camp.

we have this guy for the starting G spot. played center and right guard.

now we draft not needing a LT but we can draft a guy that has and can play the right side along with driscoll as vet depth.

mccormick stays put or swaps to the left where he played in college. again square peg.

    frazier. nuff said.

    anderson depth.

Combine a couple of day 3 to move up 10 or 15 spots if a player they want is sitting there early in round 4 or 5.

Send one away for a round better pick in 2027

I'd rather they trade back several spots and add a 2027 pick in day 1 or 2.

Won't be mad at all if they move up if they can get one of the more likely studs at OT, WR, S (even Edge if they plan to trade one of Highsmith/Herbig/Watt).

At Left Tackle, Freeling is #1. Lomu #2 and the next guy is a 355 lb Kadyn Proctor who does not project as a left tackle.
The rest are Right Tackles: Mauigoa, Fano, Iheanachor, Blake Miller.

Freeling had a similar career like Broderick at Georgia both had less than 20 starts.

Sounds like that is coming from Beck's agent

Anything is possible. All you need is one team to fall in love with him and believe in him being a franchise quarterback.

I wouldn't do it, but someone may think they have their guy.

It what he is hearing from teams and how they feel about Beck. Not coming from one source.

Remember it is lying season. Teams always use leaked insider information to try and manipulate how draft prospects are viewed.

Would not be upset if the Steelers trade out of the first round for a 1st round pick next year. Still would have plenty of picks and honestly, after about pick 15 this year, the talent is fairly even for Day2 and 3. Next year, QB in Rd1!

When it comes to Fautanu, he played college ball at Washington. One thing that stood out for me when he was drafted was that it was said that the Washington line learned to play both sides every practice. He said he is equally comfortable at either side. I'm not saying I wouldn't move him, but this is not like drafting guard Kendrick Green and moving him to center to replace Pouncey with almost no experience. I'd say he is more of a guy who brings position flexibility, and enables the team to draft someone who'd be exclusive on one side because he can play the other.

Move back in round 1, maybe get a round 2 pick this year and next year?
Leave round 1, get round 1 next year and 2nd this year?

It would be hard to drop THAT far, but the reward for future seasons could be enormous, especially if we trade with a current top 10 picking team for their early rd 2 pick knowing they may still suck next year. The Rams got what #13 this year by fleecing Atlanta. Would be nice to have a top 10 pick in 2027 to go with, hopefully, our pick 30/31/32?

Agree, I wouldn't trade to move up for Lemon, if you feel slot WR is the need in round 1, then wait and pick what is there from Lemon, Cooper and Concepcion. They won't all three be gone, too much other talent to be that WR heavy in first 20 picks.

I probably just jinxed us and this statement will age poorly...haha.

Given how talent deficient this class is as a whole Offensively and doubly so at the QB Position, it wouldn't surprise me. If anything and, as I said, I am pushing all my chips to the middle of the table for him to be the best one overall. Many of his skills translate to the NFL for he has showed them at a consistent rate during the 2025 CFB Season.

Get him in the right Offense and a team definitley has something to work with.

Feeling has major buzz due to the fact that, from a talent, athletic, physique, youth and potential standpoint, Offensive Tackles like that dont come around too often. Add the fact that he does possess the baseline requirements to be a Franchise Caliber Left Tackle and the interest is very warranted.

If many of the concerns are based on purely technique and fundamentals, that is a trade off every NFL Team cam accept. Offensive Tackle is a very, very traits heavy position. Considering Monroe Freeling has traits every NFL Team could ever want in a Left Tackle, all that remains is the ability to mold that talent into something special.

It might not look like it now but Amarius Mims is an excellent example. Dude was more raw than steak freshly cut from the meat house at Georgia. Slowly but surely, he is coming into his. The same will be for Freeling should he get the ability to do so.

Consensus team needs: QB, S, LB, CB, WR, RB, OT
Mine would be: QB, WR, S, OT, LB

I somehow think the Steelers will trade up to nab one of the two safeties, Downs or Thieneman. (They aren't using 12 picks)
Round two I think they grab an OT, not sure which one.

I think they get 6 or 7 players, maybe 8 if lucky. Maybe 2 trades? I think 1 is for sure.
I think they come out of this draft with a legit Safety, a QB, OT, LB, CB, and WR.

This is a new crew, so I'm at best spit balling.
