Was reading that the NFL is going to have a problem on their hands with this NIL money stuff. Saying the average age is going to become 24 for players entering the NFL and the ripple effect that will have.

I dont know how they will deal with it. Riley Leonard was saying he made more NIL money than he is getting from the Colts. Dont know how you put that toothpaste back in the tube.

Will Howard made more NIL money than he currently does on his NFL deal. That said, the NFL cannot change what has happened. Going to have to offer an alternative.

What that is... I have not the foggiest.

This is a short term way of looking at building wealth but unfortunately kids think short term. And it depends on if the player believes in themselves and their ability.

A person can only play in the NFL until a certain age. Staying in college just shortens their NFL career. An average NFL backup quarterback makes 8 million. A kid stays in college an extra year to make 2 million. Long term that is a 6 million loss. If it’s a year loss of starting money it’s an even bigger loss.

Now if the kid doesn’t believe he can make it in the NFL then he is probably right and should take the money now. But no team wants that kid anyway.

NCAA Football needs a centralized authority to manage the super conferences (Big 10, SEC) and regular conferences (ACC, Big 12, Pac10, Big East, etc.)

One ring to rule them all.
