Cruz seeing the ball well in the early going. Hope he sees it as well in the field.

Going for a sweep in Chicago sounds odd to say.

    Never a doubt.

Cruz 4 hits and 3 SB's. Ozuna has to go no matter what the Scribe says. He's toast.

    Way too early my man
    Ozuna is a streaky hitter
    When he is on
    He is on
    Right now not so good
    Btm 11 had me scared
    2 n 3 nobody out
I hate the extra innings rule with putting a player at second base

That's an intriguing rule. Lots of space to think on that one. Like it, don't like it. Back and forth.

    Also
    Don’t like pitch clock
    Also
Don’t like you can only throw to first base twice
Taking all the rules of strategy out of baseball
    Adding
    Hate interleague play
    Hate DH in National League
    :roflmao::hehehe::roflmao:

I agree but I understand why MLB had to make the changes. The way our society is changing they had to speed the game up or would have probably lost the next generation.

The ghost runner is really odd to me but can't be having super long extra inning games.

I remember attending a Pirate/Mets game at Forbes Field on "Teen Night". Went with a bunch of my fellow 7th or 8th grade classmates via street car from Castle Shannon. That's when games didn't start until 8 or 8:15 pm. It went into extra innings and we left after the 10th inning ended around 11:30 because it was a school night and the trolleys didn't run very frequently out to Shannon after midnight. Turns out the game went 18 innings and didn't end until 2-3 am. Those were the days and nights.

    That’s a wrap for Skenes
    6 IP
    1 hit
    1 ER
    ERA now 4.00
Buccos up 15-1 top of 7
Hopefully the Bucs don’t blow this lead like they did yesterday in Chicago!

    Speaking of today’s generation
Their attention span is like a minute
To match their tik tok time
Be a miracle for them to sit through a 2 hr movie

I'd trade/donate Urquidy and Ozuna right now to PennDOT for a crumbled tar stained traffic cone.

Pinch me. Cruz getting intentionally walked against a LH pitcher? Better check the temps in Hades. Talk about off-season adjustments. This is exciting and amazing. Hope the opposition doesn't figure out what they're doing wrong pitching to Cruz. I really like Reynolds as the DH. Look at the box score from last night, top 4 in the lineup with Reynolds at cleanup, had 9 hits, 6 runs and 12 RBIs. Compare this to when Ozuna was DH batting 4th. I'd go with the hot lineup and sit the zeroes. Right now Griffin is still getting his feet wet at 19, so I'll give him a pass.

I sense a different vibe this year. They are on pace to win 101 games but of course that can’t be sustained. A realistic measure that I like is, what would their record be if they play .500 ball the rest of the year? Even a mediocre team could do that, and I think they are more than that.
With 146 games left and 10 wins, if the Bucs play .500 ball the rest of the way, they would win 83 games. Small sample size but it’s what we have at this point. A month from now it will be more meaningful.

Interesting, and Scribe should be happy, Ozuna had 2 hits including a double and RBI as well as Griffin. Even Bart had a HR! Although they lost, they did fight back after Keller's uninspiring start and got great relief pitching. On a night that Cruz and a few other hotties (so far) cooled down, the weakies (so far) did alright. This is a good thing and hopefully helps them over time. Beats everyone in the lineup taking a sabbatical nearly every game like last year.

OK. Ozuna contributed to the W last night with his 2nd RBI in 2 days. Not quite the same as Lowe's 10 in 2 days, but it's a start and helped on a night most of the other bats were quiet. Maybe I spoke too soon about Cruz and maybe they did figure out how they were pitching to him all wrong. He was back to swatting at invisible flies now 2 days in a row.
