If people want to call Ben a drama queen, fine but there is no questioning he is a tough MF. Just because he wasn’t listed on the IR doesnt mean his knees werent shot.

When someone jokingly said this year that he could suit up, he said nope, alluded to injury, the person asked where and he said lower body.

The defense was also pretty good that season until Dupree and Bush got injured.

I don't think it was that positive towards the Packers when I said they were the only one-and-done 15-1 team ever and that their defense was awful:shrug:

I criticize Watt and Heyward often for being no shows in the playoffs, when it's contract time they want to be the highest paid but they don't show up when it counts.

I loved the first Highlander movie! I also liked the series with Duncan McCloud.

Hopefully, they draft a quarterback that shows the coaches real promise this year in training camp and preseason, and Howard shows he can play a bit. If that happens, they may not have to sell out next season for a top quarterback draft pick.

I hope they do well this year, but if they decide to go with Howard who knows how that will turn out. You just want to see development and a quarterback that shows there is ability and room to grow into a good player. If they somehow have a quarterback in place that they believe in, next year could be a year to really build the roster more and be ready for an extended run of good play.

It's going to be really interesting to see how they approach this draft and the upcoming season.

I don't remember the details, but I remember the Steelers getting jerked around in terms of games getting rescheduled due to covid. The Steelers played the Ravens on a Wednesday, then had to play the Redskins/WTF/WFT/whatever the following Monday five days later.

I remember the Steelers shockingly struggling to beat the Ravens then losing to the WFT. I remember WFT players coming off the field after their win saying "they knew it", that the Ravens showed something that the WFT and I'm sure teams the rest of the season took advantage of. I was never sure what that something was. Maybe it's as previous posters mentioned, that Ben couldn't throw deep anymore or that he wasn't moblie anymore or something.

I remember listening to some show in which it was said that Tomlin himself said there were problems that were going to need to be fixed, and I think that might have been before their first loss, so Tomlin himself knew there were issues.

Are we talking Highlander? I thought I was the only one odd enough to get way too excited about Highlander.

the run defense suffered after Shazier was hurt but they were still pulling out wins. I think they were just caught looking ahead to New England.

He speaks exactly like that about the Steelers. He tries to tell you all the time that the Steelers defense hasn't been good enough in the playoffs to explain why they lost. You blame the quarterback instead.

It's not his fault that you can't comprehend his simple point.

Do you even read your own comments?

Is it weird that when I see the name Methos, I immediately think of the oldest immortal?

Good points there. The schedule that season sucked. The other thing maybe overlooked was the injury to Dupree. The losing streak coincided with him going to IR. Average opponent score jumped by 7 pts per game (combine that with Steelers scoring 7 pts fewer per game = losing).

People figured out how to counter Ben's quick release. They started hitting the receivers at the line more. Goodbye quick routes.

He played in the era when QBs did not have the protection from rules that they do now. Move those rules back 20 years and Ben probably adds 5 years to his career.......to be fair, I do think that the rules have gone overboard now. It is not flag football. You have to be able to hit the QB.

In the spirit of it being a total team loss, IIRC Cam got basically erased by a guy making something like his 3rd ever appearance in an NFL game.

    Everything about that game sucked.

I think this is part of the answer. CLE sat on the the short routes.

Bradshaw played in an era when anything goes in attacking the QB. And he is paying the price now. Those hits back then were used by the NFL to highlight upcoming games. Not anymore.

I loved both. Only the first movie was great IMO. The last couple movies were mostly garbage just trying to make a few bucks. It didn't do the story justice.

The series was excellent. I was a huge fan, and I loved the fact that it worked off of watching an immortal going through his daily life, yet dealing with the life or death of being who he was and those battles.

They could take their time and tell one specific story. I also liked the way they brought in the Watchers and made that part of the storyline as well.

Yeah Your correct. HCs often coach snapping the ball over the Qbs head for a easy td . I remember being coached that clearly.
They also love coaching the Qb to having the ball tipped at the line of scrimmage, an have it picked off. All things HCs coach . LoL
