Najee is no Kenneth Walker so good luck with that. Love will be long gone before their pick and after him you're looking at 3rd rounders.

Could be that they just release Ruiz and save that cap hit. If that happens he becomes an UFA. This guy has been a starter since he came into the league and he's only 26. I honestly believe this is a money issue for the Saints, not a performance based issue. I would definitely make him an offer if he hits free agency.

that is why i said going cheaper. ruiz is their RG.

is it more injury or performance based?

Pauline's report is an indication of how much the Saints like Pregnon, and it is equally an indictment of how disappointed they are in Cesar Ruiz. If they were pleased and satisfied with Ruiz's performance, this wouldn't be a conversation, regardless of how they felt about Pregnon. At best, it's a sign of Ruiz being on thin ice.

One thing that can't be completely cleared up is if the alleged interest extends to other guards in the second round or stops at Pregnon. That would let you know how dire the Saints are to find a new right guard. Selecting an interior offensive lineman is a move that makes sense at some point, and they only draft one that early if he's coming in to be a starter. With only one spot left on the starting line, we know what that would mean.

You're correct. Ruiz plays RG. Not sure why I thought he was the LG, but I did. Shows how much attention I pay to other teams I guess. Never mind then, I'm less hyped now. Much less.

LoL. Do I know what a Straw Man argument is?? LoL. Am I 2? Hell You are the King of Straw Man arguments, and then you are the 1st to accuse people of them.
Besides it wasn't a argument. I was trying to end the argument, and give You a bit of info at the same time to show how silly your argument is.
It's pretty simple. If 150 - 200 wrs are in the NFL every year, and you can't give me more than 4 that can be good with any Qb, hell I'll be generous, and give you 10 even though there isn't that many. Well I would say that's all I need to say. Then the point that great Qb teams don't even have to draft wrs in the 1st round most of the time because they know their Qb will make them better. Then to the point that nobody is giving up the same money, or resources to find their next Wr, but they are their next Qb.....that should tell you everything you need to know about it, but because You don't want to believe it, you will continue to argue about it.

JuJu was an awesome WR when catching passes from Ben Roethlisberger. JuJu was good, but nothing great catching passes from Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes - 3, Roethlisberger - 2.

Plenty of folks don't know what a straw man argument is. When you make a claim and provide what you think is evidence, that is making an argument. I am not certain why you thought what you posted would win the argument because it does no such thing.

Your premise is flawed in many ways. I did give you more than four receivers who can be good with any quarterback. I think I gave you nine or 10, which is more than three percent, so right there, your 97 percent number is wrong.

I will continue to argue because you continue to keep things vague and avoid specifics. I think you do that because you know the specifics won't work in your favor. I don't think either of us has the time for a data-driven study over a long period of time, but we could look at one season. All we need is to agree upon what constitutes a good receiver and what constitutes a good quarterback. Since you are making the argument, you should present your criteria. We can go from there and have a real discussion, or you can continue to keep things intentionally vague, which tells me that you can't back up your point.

He also developed knee issues that sapped him of much of his explosiveness.

Wow. Emmanuel Sanders has his best year after leaving. See what I mean...yet you fail to mention, or purposefully leave off that was with Peyton Manning, and as soon as Manning was done Emmanuel Sanders numbers took a nose dive. Hmm:hmm: .LoL. You like to argue so much that you are helping my argument.
Hines Ward was a great Wr for no matter. He was of the 3 %.
Mike Wallace had in the 6 years after leaving Ben one year that came close, and that was it. Guess what , it was with SB champion, and SB MVP Qb Flacco.
You are just helping my argument. LoL

Free Agent Aaron Rodgers. Charlie Batch is saying Aaron is wanting $30 million this year.

Steelers, Aaron Rodgers' problems may be money
"This decision is coming down to money. The Steelers would like him to come back, yes, but it's not going to be the $13 million number. I'm sure Aaron, at some point, and I have not spoken to him, but I'm sure his representatives are wanting something close to [$30 million]. And you hope that, somewhere, you meet in the middle."

    I have my doubts here

Rodgers made it clear last year money wasn’t a factor

And if he doesn’t sign with the Steelers he is retired

Apparently no other team wants him

So, Batch is offering up this take with no more knowledge than any of us here.

We can all read a contract table for QB values just as well as he can.

Anyone, want to put a number together....you can get on a podcast!!

Wallace had 930 yards receiving the first year after he left Pittsburgh with the immortal Ryan Tannehill throwing him the ball. That was more than he had his final season with the Steelers. Funny that you ignored that.

Sanders went over 1,000 yards three times in Denver. One was Manning's monster year in 2014. Manning was nowhere near that level when Sanders went over 1,000 yards again in 2015. He completed under 60 percent of his passes, threw 17 interceptions to go with nine touchdowns and split the starts with Brock Osweiler. Maybe you think it was Manning's Hall of Famer aura doing it for Sanders even though he was no longer a very good passer. How do you explain 2016, when Sanders went over 1,000 yards again while catching passes from Trevor Siemian?

That makes three guys who didn't need a great quarterback to be great during Roethlisberger's tenure. If you actually apply what you saw of Antonio Brown you would acknowledge he was another. Throw in Heath Miller and Roethlisberger had a hell of a lot of help from his receivers.

I can have a raging podcast if I say that Aaron wants a bump to $60 million to acknowledge his performance last season!
