    So. Much. This.

Combine is nothing more than theatre anyways. Teams and their scouting departments already have their respective opinions formed by the time these players get to the Combine. If anything, for many teams in the NFL, the whole scouting process tends to wrap up by Weeks 10-12 of the NFL Season for those time frames are where College usually begins to wrap up their own season as well. This isn't accounting for Scouting Departments not just scouting this classes but likely the next two to three classes either.

In short?! Yes, the NFL Scouting Combine is fine but it is for entertainment purposes only. A lot of the drills are severely outdated and in dire need of an overhaul; particularly the most overrated one in the 40 Yard Dash in my opinion.

Carson Beck would fit Mike McCarthy's West Coast Offense hand in glove. Given how rhythm and timing oriented the West Coast is, you need a QB who has both a lightning fast release, tremendous processing ability and great decision making. Beck has two of those three figured out and the decision making just needs some tuning up.

This all said, Drew Allar would still be my personal go to.

I am just wondering if Beck's elbow will last. His arm strength weakened after the surgery.

Shocking as it may sound, Beck is still only 23 years old.

If Aaron Rodgers has NOT signed with the Steelers by the draft, Carson Beck may be the guy as he is the most Pro-Ready QB in the draft. Beck should be able to come in an immediately compete with Mason and Will for the starting job. That is a scarry thought, going into training camp with Mason, Will and Beck competing for the starting job.

If Aaron Rodgers does sign before the Draft, then I hope it is Drew Allar in the 3rd round. Allar will need some time on the Bench watching behind the teams starting QB.

I’ve been reviewing Markel Bell’s profile (https://www.nfl.com/prospects/markel-bell/32004245-4c50-6870-7576-40ee83a92982) and have some concerns regarding his draft evaluation.

Given his size and the quickness required for his position ( offesnve tackle ) , it is essential to see his agility reflected in his shuttle time and 1-on-1 pass protection matchups during college all-star practices. I noticed he opted out of the shuttle, which I consider a red flag. How did he perform in the practices? I suspect the better pass rusher will eat his lunch.

Additionally, while he has impressive height, weight, and arm length, his hands are notably small. In fact they are tiny for an OT at just 9". We will need to scrutinize his film to confirm his grip strength..

NO way do I want him in rounds 1-3. Later in the draft, in rounds 5-7 okay.

Beck makes some sense at the end of day 2 if we like him. I am not sure he has the tools to be a quality starter, but in a perfect world he could be Brock Purdy-ish. I see Beck as a long term back up. He's NFL ready, I just don't think he's NFL good.

If we draft a Day 2 QB, I would expect that it means we don't think Rodgers is coming back. We'd have Beck, Howard, and Rudolph all in competition for the starting job. A mediocre back up, a 3rd round pick rookie, and a second year player drafted Day 3 that hasn't taken an NFL snap of any kind. If we pass on QB in the draft, you can bet that we believe Rodgers is coming back.

    Updated list.

I like that they brought Boston in, probably my favorite receiver.

I really like Branch, I think he ends up being one of the top 5 WRs from this class when all the games are played.

I think the interesting part of this is that all these guys seem to be day 2 guys (or later) so far. I don't see anyone on that list that looks like pick 21. They seem to be keeping the first round interest close to the vest.

Seen a couple mocks of him going to the Steelers in Rd4.

" .....there is a real player in here, and the physical tools are tantalizing. The combine confirmed what you could already see on film: this is one of the most explosive athletes to come through the quarterback position in years. The vertical, the broad jump, the forty time, the agility drills: all of it points to a guy who can do things with his legs that most quarterbacks simply cannot. He ran for 31 touchdowns in college and averaged over seven yards per carry for his career. That rushing ability is not a gimmick. In a league that increasingly values quarterback mobility and designed runs, Payton's ground game is a legitimate weapon that can be schemed up from day one, even before his passing mechanics catch up."

in the NDSU offense which is built for a QB like him, he was perfect. he will need lot's of time to catch up in an NFL offense. they didn't throw a lot and when they did it caught most teams off guard. he will have to learn to read defenses. the tools are there. he would be a good fit here since we have time to do that with who we have now or even if AR or cousins comes here. will howard should get a shot as well.

I think an argument can be made for Boston, he might be more towards the end of rd 1 but I think he has 1st rd talent. Ideally Id rather get him rd 2 and get an DL, OL or S with the first pick.

I'm generally cool to the super athlete QBs simply because I think their athleticism actually hinders their advancement as a QB. Having said this, although he's a project, he is one that might be worth investing the time.

i really think they are in the camp of omar cooper, cj allen, colton hood, anthony hill, denzell boston, chris johnson, branden cisse, deangelo ponds. if there kayden proctor or kenyon sadiq, tate. WR/TE, ILB, CB. slight chance of S, DL, OL.

all that said i think cooper, allen, hood are the big 3 unless somebody falls.
