Yes, it's a bad draft for QBs.

Howard was there so the Steelers said why not it's only the 6th round. I would only draft Simpson, Allar or Beck if they are available in the 5th or later. There is no definite answer at QB, unless Howard turns out to be something. As for veterans, Flacco, Cousins and Garoppolo are available. If the Steelers badly want a veteran then they should grab whichever is the cheapest.

I have a feeling that many people will say it was a bad pick if it doesn't work out, and not he couldn't develop him.
That's my problem with Simpson not enough playing time, and looked bad in the big games.
My problem with Nussmeier is he was supposed to have this great processor, and I didn't see it.

Interesting thought. I’m going to have to do a deeper dive into Beck.

Boy not me give me a Joe Montana or Tom Brady any day over physical freaks like Anthony Richardson or Justin Fields.

Bloggers just making up stuff the Steelers go to Georgia every year because they have a loaded roster, they saw Allar at the Combine and can have him come for a pre-draft visit.

Why would he have to go to Georgia to talk Kirby Smart

He could just pick up the phone

He went to see players and talk to them

Of course they went to see other players but as an aside talking to Kirby would be smart. Dont know about you but I prefer in person meetings to read people.

Who knows, MM isn’t Tomlin, hes not burning up the trail to go to these pro days, getting to talk to Kirby could have been an added factor to choosing to go to that pro day instead of elsewhere.

Of course. But those dudes are not in this draft class. Not even close. If my choices are KP 2.0 or MAC Jones 1.2; that’s not a choice.

The dude whose name sounds like a bad German light beer and the dude from Bama or even Beck are super behind where Brady and Montana were when they came out. And all three are older, I believe.

Hard Pass on the lot of them.
