I had a maintenance guy who was wonderful but one day he brought in a box of lollipops and was handing them out to children at the grade school during recess

He honestly and sincerely had no idea why I was telling him that although that was a nice gesture it still may not be received well

We know what you were trying to imply Tomlin fans are going to be in shambles if McCarthy wins a playoff game .

Not according to some Steelers fans, they had the Killer Bs which means they should've won a bunch of Super Bowls.

Just ask Seattle's HC. He won with Pete Carroll's players.

The SB this year was won with Pete Carroll's players if Tomlins 1st SB was won with Cowhers. Exact same amount of time, and the team they faced the Patriots exactly the same.

    Darnold was not Carrol's QB.

and Carroll did not win much in the last 3 years in Seattle....7-10,9-8,9-8.The seahawks defense were one of the worst in the NFL too in the last few years under Carroll. The seahawks had a elite defense last year

The turn around in player personnel in Seattle was dramatic. The only starter since the 2021 team is the punter. I don't think I've heard of a team replacing all 22 starters in only 4 years.

It's because it was MacDonald's team, not Carrol's. 2008 Steelers was Cowher's team. Obviously. Roethlisberger was Cowher's QB. :smiley1:

*queues the inevitable STD retort* :lolol:

If it was Cowher's team....there would have just been 53 Alonzo Jackson's on the roster....

You think Darnold was the reason they won. Man, the Steelers really were stupid for not making him a valid offer.

Seahawks are a solid team... all around. Offense, defense and special teams. Darnold put the Seahawks over the top... kinda like what Ben did for Steelers in 2004-05. The good team was finally complete.

So no, he isn't the reason they won, so that comparison doesn't work.

Do you really think Seahawks would have won the Super Bowl with Geno Smith? Darnold with Steelers would have been no better than Rodgers.... it would have been the same result. Too many holes on defense and the offense would not be any more consistent with Darnold as opposed to Rodgers.

The system in place matters. Seahawks had much better planning and schemes on offense.... and better talent. Gainwell was really the only player on offense (maybe Frazier too) that showed up every week. And now he's with the Bucs.
