Don't give me this crap y'all want to give LeBeau credit when the team wins, but want to blame somebody else when the team loses.

That is fine for depth, but they need to sign at least one more starter back there.

If the Steelers are going to sign a veteran, I'd prefer they find a way to grab Kyler. I think he could make more of an impact than Rodgers or Cousins, and he has a clear high upside and would be playing with a team that has consistent culture. I think he's a Viking, but it would be a nice fit imo.

And Tomlin lost to Bortles (worse than Tebow) while scoring 42 offensive points. And Baker at home without a head coach while scoring 37 points.

I don't need to sit anything out lol

You should sit this one out because Ben had 6 turnovers combined in those two games, so don't give ne this crap about elite QB play. Jacksonville had the number one defense that year and smoked the Steelers in the regular season matchup that year, they were just a bad matchup.

He also threw for 970 yards (485 per game) and 9 TD's in those games too. The turnovers weren't good, but they also come when we have to pass when the defense gets wrecked and we come out to huge deficits.

It would help if the offense had gotten off to a fast start in some of those games ;).

Roethlisberger's turnovers were a huge part of falling so far in the hole early in both of those games. He helped rally them later, but they wouldn't have had to try to chase down an opponent with a big lead if he had played better early on.

Fans also like to blame coaches when the safety bit on a misread and was out of position.

I wonder about the duo of Mike McCarthy and Kirk Cousins.
Atlanta is holding out for a trade, but they will have to cut him.

Cousins as I've said, is not my pick. But I do acknowledge that this is a tough year for QBs.
Rogers gave us a lift last season. The problem is not his arm, it was as strong as ever. The problem is mobility.
Cousins is younger and most likely is only going to hang around for a year or two at best which is perfect to buy time.
The free agent QB market is trash. The Jets even brought back Geno to trash again,,,,,

    Draft isn't much better.
One of the QB's that might be worth a roll of the dice will be there when we pick.
Nussmeier, Beck or Allar could be available later.. none are NFL ready year 1
Some predict Ty Simpson would drop to us... also not year 1 ready.

I don't know what Howard will do. Even if he's great, we still need a QB.
It doesn't help we need a few other players out of this draft.

Tough to figure how McCarthy will go..

Losing Shazier didn't help for the playoff game vs Jax. Lots of bad luck that year. Still... Popcorn should have been fired after that game.

At the very least, he should have been forced to fire Butler and bring in someone from outside to coach the defense, but they never did recover from losing Shazier. They relied far too heavily on one unique athlete and couldn't adjust.

My issue was the following year when he botched a couple of games and cost them a playoff berth with some really stupid decisions.

That's your argument? Dick LeBeau lost a game to Tebow so his Hall of Fame career doesn't mean anything and he is disqualified from ever using him as a comparison in an argument over defense?

Also, nobody needs to sit out anything because you say so.

True. Gotta make up for the majorly deficient defensive gameplanning and win it on his own :)

I dont think he was, I think circumstances changed. LeBeus defense was notoriously difficult to learn, rookies sat for years but then they wanted to get rookies on the field quicker so he had to start dumbing down the defense to do that.
