    And, nobody(fans, steelers organization) are embarrassed or concerned about this?! Only the players and opponent teams!

    Jimmy Hoffa is spinning in his grave or cement block.

    Not knowingly but I think my uncle may have helped bury Hoffa. He got a job as a site superintendent for the concrete company building old Giants stadium right before Hoffa disappeared.

    IMG_6028.jpeg Rooney’s run a cheap and lousy operation. We’ve seen the product on the field for a while now. It makes sense.

    Should Mike McCarthy not work out in Pittsburgh, no matter how storied the Steelers are, that is going to change the minds of potential future Free Agents who may have an interest in coming to Pittsburgh to play for the team. While it doesn't matter to us, as fans, Players definitely do care about these types of aspects that a Franchise has. This isn't the 70s to 2000s where "just enough" could cut it. Today's athletes are way more different than they were two to three generations ago; for better or worse.

    Stephen Ross isn't my cup of tea as far as Owners are but it is definitely due some praise for certain. Problem with the Dolphins is that they just cannot get the Head Coach right.

    Historically the terrain and climate in these organizations have changed massively. 40 or 50 years ago, even 30, players took what the got and liked it, from income to benefits to pension. The athletes of today are pampered and given every possible perk. Nutrition, training and workout facilities, individual exercise programs etc. etc. I'm not whining about it, it's just the way it is. I agree, I believe it can be a big deal to a lot of players. Players talk , they know what teams are high on that list, and at the bottom.
    I think the Steelers aura doesn't carry the weight it used to (I'm sad to say). The draw to be a Steeler can't overcome some of the franchise shortcomings anymore. Especially to free agents looking for a new home with similar money on the table. JMHO.

    With MM we might start drawing offensive weapons again.

    But you make a good point about people maybe staying away from them due to the amenities. A close offer in salary and a FA will probably pick the other team.

    Wonder what the criteria was for grading Khan? How he negotiated or player acquisitions. Both probably.

    @Karl@Karl I see a victory lap coming.

    This isn't accounting for another item; one that isn't talked about enough. State income taxes. I am no financial expert as to how they work in the United States but I can say that somewhere like Florida where there is none vs PA where there is another incentive that some Free Agents have in mind.

    Yeah, this continued cheapness is a failure, it does matter to players and may be hurting the team. People can say it's just angry fans throwing shade at Art and the org, and that it's no big deal, but it's important and needs to change. Art can't GTFO soon enough.

    My natural instinct is to push back on stuff like this but when you have time to digest it and it keeps happening its hard to dispute.

    I dont know their books but I find it hard to believe they need to pinch pennies on this stuff.

    Art more and more isnt looking like a very good team owner.

    The article also mentions five bathrooms...

    So @Lambert@Lambert.... five bathrooms... five bathrooms... five bathrooms...

    Never mind unsanitary.. that is downright deplorable.
