No it isn’t. his job is not the same as ours. Hes a high profile public figure. And No one is looking for answers in his speech, just a goodbye thanks for the memories, a joke or two, stuff like that.

He works for a private company. If he was elected to the job, sure. But he wasn’t.

Before everything turned into media driven nonsense; this is just how things worked.

It’s how things should work.

Now, if Tomlin shows up on an NFL sideline in the next year or three, I’d certainly like to know more than I do now.

But outside of that…the man deserves to be left alone.

 

I swear, some people wanted to see Tomlin roasting on a spit with an apple in his mouth. The just want to feel like somehow they were humiliating Tomlin or getting one last shot at him

It's as if they were cheated out of getting their revenge on the man. You would swear Tomlin badmouthed their mothers or banged their sisters badly and dumped them.

For Christ's sake.....he's just a football coach that did the best job that he could and put everything into it. But some folks just want a piece of him.

 

According to fans like you he only won the Super Bowl because of Cowher's players, but all of the playoff losses are on him .

 

Last I checked the fans aren't his boss he didn't owe them anything.

Are you nuts? Some people just wanted to hear a farewell speech. Lol. After 18 years just wanted to hear his perspective. Theres no judgement. Some people are being too defensive. And i think he did owe it to the fans. I understand it’s not required and it shouldn't be but its a good gesture to do it.

Have you been reading any of the comments in this thread? Someone here is calling him a coward and saying he hates the man while cursing him and insulting him.

I'm listening to people that were losing their minds trying to say anything to get Mike Tomlin fired, and now they are acting like they have been wronged because he didn't pour his heart out over his failures. This after getting their wish when he stepped down.
