There was also a PI so freaking bad it hurt their CB, but no call was made.

I was drunk and hitting up on a wild looking woman and a buddy leaned over and whispered in my ear “trust me on this one and just run”

Early in his career, Ben was known for not practicing hard, and he admitted himself he didn't pick up a football in the off season until he absolutely had to. Later in his career he called out players on radio show interviews for not making plays. Some of those players were often blindsided but took the high road by say "he may be right." Rather ironic that AB is now defending him after bashing him when he left. No one can convince me otherwise that Ben was not a good teammate or welcoming at all with Mason. While I appreciate what Ben did for the organization, he was no saint (none of us are).

These guys are just one step removed from recording conspiracy theory rants shirtless wearing wrap-around shades in the cab of rusted out pick-up.

Buddy dont judge me, you’re the one who thinks Ben did something awful but yet you kept rooting for him every week. Guess your moral outrage only goes so far.

I never forced myself on anyone, the part you dont understand is I keep talking about this from a consensual POV. Don’t know why you dont understand that.

So glad I was a product of the 80’s and 90’s. Henry Calvill is right, the art of flirting is dead in today’s world. God forbid you penetrate someone’s safe space and touch her arm while flirting, SEXUAL ASSAULT!

That dude is wicked smart. Not sure which take you are referring to but men today definitely have a problem approaching women.

I root for the Steelers. Anyone from my past will tell you I was viewed as the Ben hater.

I have no issue calling any Steeler out for sh!tty behavior off the field.

I rooted for AB, Bell, Pickens, JH, etc. These were all great football players but off the field most of them weren’t someone to look up to.

and this brings me to another point. Never did Peezy say Ben was a bad QB. He was really good. He said he wasn’t a good person.

and I was an 80’s, 90’s guy. I used to go to Freaknik in ATL, the Greek in Philly and Jones Beach in Long Island. Those were fun times but I also witnessed some savagery that was called fun back then.

I’ve had a few freaks in my younger years but it never gave me the impression that every woman is a freak.

I also learned over the years that every woman is different. One may want you to smack it up, flip it and rub it down and the next one wants you to be gentle and the one after that may be a tease.

Men have to be able to navigate these hurdles or SA accusations may be on the end result.

I'm going to post something that may not be popular with the group but what the hell. Like many I root for my team, I don't always care for the character of the men underneath the helmet. I do think that Harrison for many years has been guilty of "doing too much" in terms of bashing Tomlin and I'm obviously not the only one who feels that way. His voice would carry more weight and speak greater volumes when if when asked about Tomlin he simply replied "next question" or said nothing at all.

As for Big Ben, I've said for years that while I am grateful for what he brought to the competition, the team overall I FEEL WE WOULD HAVE HAD MULTIPLE SUPERBOWLS IF NOT FOR BENS LACK OF LEADERSHIP. When your biggest hurdle is getting past Tom Brady you need to study your competitor to find out their strengths and weaknesses. Brady appeared to be much more player friendly, willing to work with any and ALL his options and didn't care if the younger players wanted to be themselves or listen to the music in the locker room that got them to perform. When a QB embraces his team and the individuals, they tend to want to run through a wall for him, They want to be better for that person (ANYONE REMEMBER THE TEARS HINES WARD SHED ON CAMERA AFTER A TOUGH PLAYOFF LOSS TO NEW ENGLAND in 2004? HIS COMMENTS POINTED TO FEELING LIKE THEY LET JEROME BETTIS DOWN) Teammates play for one another!!!!
Part of the issue is that Ben's contract and arrogance became greater than his play and the offense was never multi faceted. When it was Ward & Heath it was Ward & Heath, mix in a bit of Bettis...., the later years it was AB and Bell, but another issue was Ben was a backyard QB who could pump fake defenders, make them miss, move around, and throw downfield. This became harder to do as Ben got older and lets face it Ben was never really that accurate in the shorter passing game or middle of the field in his later years.

When people speak about Ben as a good person they mention his earlier years which makes me laugh. I've been going to Pittsburgh for 2 decades and I would ALWAYS ask those whom I came into contact with "Who are the players that are overall approachable and seem to be great guys" followed by "Who are or who is the player that is the absolute worst in person. I listened with open ears to many stories over the years. The answer to the latter question WAS ALWAYS NUMBER 7, BEN WAS ALWAYS THE JERK. I talked to hotel staff including housekeeping, concierge, doormen, managers, restaurant staff, airport personnel including law enforcement, small business owners, gas station attendants and everyone in between. NO ONE EVER HAD A POSITIVE COMMENT ABOUT BEN, NO ONE!!! He was described to me as a pompous jerk who would look to try and get you fired if you spoke to the guy, leave ****ty tips, advise airport security not to look at him etc, etc. Those of you who are from Pittsburgh KNOW THIS. You love the player but loathe the man. When your own backup QB and RB are quiet (Charlie Batch and JB), you know! Do we win without him...no but could we have done more if he was the type to not always dog the Veterans day off (it used too piss me off when Ben would have a terrible Sunday and then take off Tues and maybe Wed). Of course the relationship between a QB and O-line is typically the greatest union for OBVIOUS reasons but that does not make you a great teammate or a good person.

I wasnt able to do that, compartmentalize when Vick took over. Dogs encompass a large portion of my life as I work with them and while it was good that Vick started helping them after the fact, I couldn't root for the guy, found myself wanting him to get pulverized. I was like, well this isnt going to work and turned the game off. Fortunately my boycott only lasted a couple games.

Talk about getting your freak on, the Limelight in NYC was something out of a movie.

Goad I took photos because people back home wouldn’t believe what I witnessed.

    Are you white?

It always amazes me how people will shrug at human suffering but when you harm a dog people lose their sh!t.

Yes and yeah, I’ll kill you over a dog.

But I have empathy for more than just animals. My charitable work is aimed at children and animals, the more innocence the more empathy I have.

incels is a real thing. Andrew Tate is a serious problem.

A lot of these “pick up artists” have been accused of rape.

its weird to the older generations because we were outside, at clubs, summer camps, etc.

These newbies out here online and a lot of them lack social skills. They look at you weird when you tell them to pick up a phone call instead of texting.

    okayyyy.. lol.

good stuff working with children. I mentor at my kids school and used to work in a homeless shelter in college. Homeless shelter took a mental toll on my health.

Had to quit when they refused to identify and arrest someone in the shelter who assaulted a friend of mine.
