We all know that the listed size isn't his actual size, I am guessing he is probably a little over 6' at most. History has shown that the QB's this size either don't make it to the NFL or don't last in the NFL. Sure there are exceptions, but if I am trying to find my next franchise QB, it wont be on a long shot and that's what I consider Ty Simpson to be, a long shot. I am also not saying I could be wrong, but the percentages are not in his favor.

With a good Qb. I've always said that HCs bring you to the playoffs, and good Qb , and a bit of luck takes you to SBs.
I'm only pointing out that their way, vs our way brought no more SBs. That's all, and my friend you are free to believe, and like what You want, as am I.

His listed size is his actual size

Teams may mess with height and weight the NFL certainly does not

    He is 6-2 208 Fact

Traditionally, NFL quarterbacks have hovered around 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall

I'm so skeered. I don't put anybody on ignore and don't take orders from anyone who is not a mod. Ignore is for the hall monitor types with a fetish for authoritarianism... like Glenn.

Will be interesting to see how Maye bounces back from this. Will he be Marino and never get back to the dance or will win several of them.

Only 4 QBs have won a Super Bowl after losing their first one: Dawson, Griese, Elway, and Hurts. 38 QBs have lost on their first try.

21 QBs have played in multiple Super Bowls. 13 QBs have won at least 2 Super Bowls. Multiple winning Super Bowl QBs have combined for 37 of the 60 wins.

I wouldn't necessarily believe this precombine.

But I'd imagine that he would be measured at the combine (although I guess he could opt out...but I think that would be a red flag for height / weight unlike some of the physical stuff).

I don't know about the NFL prospects site, but several places had a combine time for Najee. But no one knew where (or when) that time came from. IIRC, he didn't run at the combine or his pro day.

Until the NFL does its own weigh and measure at the combine, the NFL.com prospect pages use the player’s height and weight from his college roster. If he checks out officially at 6-2, that shouldn’t raise a flag for anyone. If he officially measures something like 6’ 0 1/2” I’m sure some/most teams will flag that as a negative for a guy who is a pocket passer type. Combine weigh in will be a big day for Ty.

Nothing against Maye personally, but every ounce of universe influencing mojo in me will be aimed at the Pats* not getting back for at least a decade.

I was told defensive coaches and teams built around defense can't compete in 2026.

Defensive coaches can do well if they hire the right coordinators. :icon mrgreen:

See MacDonald, Kubiak & Vrabel, McDaniels.

Plus defensive coaches can not be afraid to fire insufficient coordinators. :smiley1:

Some of Cowher's worst coordinator hires went on to be successful... and his best were eventual HCs.

You need coaches who can maximise their talent. Seattles defense is also young not old.

Whisenhunt got to a Super Bowl.... I call that successful. How many head coaches actually make it to the Super Bowl? Cowher has a coaching tree, unlike Popcorn.

Gillbride was OC for 2 Super Bowl victories.

And got beat by Tomlin, and then had 5 more terrible losing seasons, and hasn't been a HC since.
    Not a very good example.
Also the only examples of a coaches tree that matters are the ones that actually work. Just because a team is stupid, and hires you doesn't make it smart. We see teams make stupid decisions every day , so please don't try building a case off of stupidity.
